4k € brand new build - NS2 still brings it to it's knees - suggestions

Graphics are maxed out and from early to mid-game it runs smoothly with 60-100 fps easily. The end game though is different story - in big fights the FPS drops to 30. I know I desire the impossible - nice graphics and high fps, but which are the most costly graphics settings that I could turn off and get most fps increase.

Also I bought my rig with some overclocking in mind, but which tool should I use for benchmark testing? NS2 runs on DX9 right? So should I use 3DMark06?

One more question - NS2 doesn't support dual GPU, right?

    Yes it does. I use two GTX780 and it works fine. Late game we are all limited by the CPU so get a fast one. I'll leave the other questions to people with more knowledge.

    The bottleneck in the system for NS2, is actually the CPU. While it has a TON of cores, NS2 is only optimized to use about 2.5 of them, maybe 3 at a stretch.

    The clock speed of the 5820K is also only 3.3Ghz (with a turbo of 3.6Ghz), compared to the default clock of the 4790K which is 4Ghz across all cores (turbo to 4.4Ghz).

    If you overclock it to over 4Ghz, you will start to see significant FPS increases.

    And to add to what Obby said, 32Gb ram is more than overkill for a gaming rig... Also more ram is less stable and harder to overclock

    You have THAT budget and got a mere 60hz monitor? :o
    Can you still return to sender and get a 144hz one? As you do not have a nvidia card I can not point you to gsync, so you may consider waiting for amd's version then. (of which only one monitor is sort of in release so noone has REAL testing results.. But they seam rather similar from the extreme limited info on the internet. But thats a long topic. ;) )
    But regardless if you do or not, for f sake.. get a 144hz gaming monitor! Yes, it matters, a lot.

    Also, you did manually set your memory to XMP in bios right?

    Also using for work. Also 16GB on my work PC was too easily maxed out, in time the 32GB won't be enough as well.

    Getting freesync 120hz IPS monitor as soon as one is available, that's why I chose ATI in the first place.

    I haven't set XMP yet.
