I can't find it. I know there is lithium in the Mushroom Forest, but the only place I've seen that is right in front of the aurora. I also thought there were more than one Mushroom Forests.

I just wanna build my dang sub.

well its actually on sand beds NEAR the mushroom forests about 200 meters deep

Oh, really? I didn't know that. I know lithium is in the Basalt Chunks, so if I find those I'll be good to go. Thanks for the tip!

You probobly just missed it. The lithium crystals are very small.

Well, to be fair I haven't looked. I just knew that the mushroom forests were towards where the reapers spawned, so I didn't go near.

Also look for small blue crystals on the sea bed, they are not always in Basalt chunks.

There is a humongous cavern & cave system under the coral / sea bed area where the life capsule is which has tonnes of lithium. I know there is at least two entrances not that far from the capsule & there are bound to be more. Make sure you go in the Seamoth (for obvious oxygen reasons) & beware volcanic vents & one entrance was swarming with bone sharks (like 30+).

Also when cracking the deposits on walls in there, be sure to do it from underneath so you have time to catch the lithium which falls really quick. Lost a couple to the lava beds because of that.

Thanks @Tryst and @Hyp3rion for the tips, I managed to find some lithium (enough) and I'll go check out the caves on a later date.

and @mack100Sm I looked it up, that was really cool. Makes me wonder how there is exposed pure lithium on the bottom of the sea...

Go where it starts getting deep (the terrain goes downhill in steep manner) you will see little purple crystals. That's lithium

Once you know what to look for and where to look, they are quite easy to get. I have a locker full of them.

You can find them on the floating island to the SW of the Lifepod on the land (as well as beached Spadefish???)

@FrostyFish Oh, really? I didn't know it was on the islands. That's awesome, now I know where to go next time i need lithium, instead of that dreadful mushroom forest.
