Before the khaara, they were baby gorges, hence gorges can spawn them from eggs.

...but shouldn't a baby have some form of resemblance to the parent?
We are talking about a 6 legged mouth with the shape of a tumor after all.

And gorges look NOTHING like babblers.

Shouldn't the Tsf Arc out the kharra from orbit? The answer is NANITES! Nanites answer all!

Not physically possible. ARCs use a sound wave (sonic weapon), so energy dissipate too much over such a long distance. Energy required would be too much even for TSF.

Explain the light energy emitted from the arc.

    @Nordic‌

    sonoluminescence

not sayin the ARC's cannon is full of water, but hey, anything is possible with nanites! :D

I must admit that is a pretty good answer.

Let me just say something. Natural Selection was originally described as "a mix of Starcraft RTS and Counter Strike"

Also, skulk = zergling, lerk = mutalisk, fade = hydralisk (sort of by appearance), and onos = ultralisk.

Infestation = zerg creep, cysts = creep tumors.
Cysts weren't originally designed to be in the game.

Just as creep tumors were only in SC2, but still nice to make connections.

This is turning out to be a thread of philosophy and scientific analysis where something is answered, another question arises.
    But whatever...ITS SCIENCE.

If everything goes wrong we blame Nanites don't we?

So let me ask another question...
There's a microscopic war going on with bacterium and Nanomachines.
How exactly did we deploy these nano machines on enough of a scale instantly to prevent us from being dissolved?

    Smaller nanites.

As far as I know what the gorge eats, I'm not sure if they eat at all, maybe they get energy from the resource nozzels and stuff. As far as I know lore wise all the aliens were organisms that kinda abducted by the khraa bacterium and then mutated and cloned to help the khraa kill the pesky marines trying to kill the bacterium. Based on its teeth whatever the gorge probably ate plants.

My theory for how the gorge makes all that stuff is that bacterium inside it mutates to kinda form that stuff and its then regurgitated out from the gorges mouth, clogs just being lumps of bacterium, hydras some kind of mutated flower, and babblers maybe like a egg sack of some giant alien insect. kinda makes sense how it takes PR (energy) to make stuff other than clogs which are just lumps of bacterium already inside the gorge.

I always kinda like to think that all the aliens are big colonies of specialised bacterium working together (like a man of war jellyfish) opposed to multicellular organisms with a instinct to help protect the bacterium but the latter makes much more sense.

As far as I remember for lore land that I cant remember where I got it from (I think it was on a wiki) Is that the humans could just nuke and blow the infested planet up to bits and completely obliterate the station or whatever is infested, but because they don't want to obliterate and destroy planets, the TSF go in and try to remove the infestation by shooting it with bullets because bullets are for some reason the best way the kill colonies of bacteria.

You never saw the nuke in ns1 then!

Yeah that's the boring answer for it.

All Kharaa, lifeforms and structures, are just the Bacterium taking forms borrowed from "assimilated" creatures. That's why they are "born" fully formed in 15 seconds, because it's really just the Bacterium coalescing into shape. So as far as eating; they don't. Kharaa lifeforms are intended to be temporary. They start with everything they need for battle and when the fighting is over they return to the bacterium.

So why can the gorge regurgitate structures? Because the Bacterium. They are all made from just one proto-material that can be formed into anything it needs to be pretty much on-the-fly. Almost like nanites.

    Why marines? Nanites.
    Why aliens? Bacteria.
