I tried everything. It stilll does't work (log inside !)

Hello everybody,

First of all, I am sorry for my bad english. I will do my best :)

Long time I did not run this wonderfull game untill yesterday.

I just can't optimize, open tutorial, launch a game etc. This result in a loading screen then a fatal error.

I lurked in many forums and try it all :

- unsubscribe workshops / turn of mod ingame / delete workshop directory
- delete cache / core/iua and ns2/iua then check cach integrity.
- uninstall and reinstall the whole game

Nothing worked.

Here the first log I had this morning after the game had been reinstalled.

In the last one I cand see "downloading mods". But I have unsubsribes all and delete the directory. And no mod appear in the mod ingame menu.

    I change the line so it looks like you said.

    It seems there is no more mod issues. But the game still dont work.

    I have this exact problem and we know what is causing it.
    I won't go into detail about it, but it's related to workshop mods and how ns2 deals with them.

    We already have a fix planned for a patch coming out (hopefully) very soon.
    Sit tight and I apologize for the inconvenience. If you forget to check back here for updates, just try NS2 8 days from now no matter what.

    This is bad luck for me who decided to play NS2 after being away for some month !

    I gave 75$ for support the game yesterday. I hope I will be to use one of those awesome skin ;)

    Awww, damn, I am very sorry about that.
    If it's any consolation to you, I play this game daily and can't play it either until it is patched .. so right now I feel like an addict without his fix, hehe. :P

    This fixed it for me! :

    Try right clicking NS2 in your steam library > Properties > click Set Launch Options > Type : -noerrors

    Let me know if that does it

    This does't work for me :/

    - Usually, I have a fatal error report after few seconds (when i click to optimize or training etc and after few seconds of loading).

    - This time, after clicking optimize, the loading screen appears, seems to work, then freez. I was stuck on this screen. I had to Ctrl+suppr to shutdown the application because of no response.

    So there is no log to share :(

    A patch is still coming right ?

    Ok so if you can make it to the main menu then you do not have the same problem I was having.
    Follow my previous instructions to get to launch parameters, but this time type -verbose
    Then have it fail and then re post your log

    First of all, thanks for helping me.

    I tried with -verbose command.

    PS : log 1 is the oldest, then log2, log3 and log which is the last one I manage to get. But you can find him in a comment in this topic, just after I entered <mods><active_mods></active_mods></mods commend.

    This normally means that a mod you were subscribed to on the workshop has been deleted. Unfortunately this causes a problem. I am not sure if there is a fix for that, but is an issue I caused for some players, including myself, when I deleted my first workshop version of PG.

    Wait a day ;). Will fix this version of the issue. Otherwise a generell fix will be in 266 :D

    But @TheNeedForFeed your log still tells me your issue is that you are still have subscribed to some issue causing mod.

    I checked the last log and there is no more Log error since I unsubscribe and edit options.xml.
