Commander View: Visualize marine's weapons

When commanding, I have often wished to see what weapons my marines carry. You need to know this if you want to use them most efficiently. For example often I would not want a Shotgun to go suicide alone on some RT, while a pressure group which tries to gain more map control walks around with LMGs. I also prioritize supporting Shotguns, since they are such a heavy Pres investment (similar to an Alien khamm prioitizing drifter support for the higher lifeforms).

In order to make these things easier, I would really like to have some kind of visualisation / overlay either on the commander map or even on the main screen, to see who has what quick and easy.

    I think a hybrid between Commander view and Spectator mode would be ideal.

    From Comm view, you have 3 bars now for each player.
    --Health (top bar, white)
    --Armor (middle bar, light blue)
    --Ammo bar (bottom bar, gray)

    From Spectator mode, you only see 2 bars for each player.
    --Marine health (light blue/health and darker blue/armor)
    --Marine weapon is color designated (dark blue/shotgun, white/welder, green/shotgun, etc.)

    --Alien health (orange/health and darker orange/armor)
    --Alien energy (yellow)

    My proposal, let the Commander see the information such as health and armor like Spec mode and add an ammo bar underneath. That way you can see all vital information about the player (health, armor, weapon, and ammo) while still not cluttering the screen.

    The ammo indicator for marine comm should either - have a different color for each weapon or ammo counter style (divided into 6 blocks for shotgun for example). In spectate the shotgun ammo is green, oddly enough this isn't the case for the commander.

    Or what I think would be ever better, is have a little weapon icon next to the health and ammo or name indicator of that marine, like in CSGO when buying guns.

    Can't you just press tab and make a quick note of who has what?

    I usually just judge based on whether or not I can see a shotgun in the marines hands or not :O

    On topic however, I would have thought it would be relatively simple to at least colour the ammo bar based on the weapon the marine is holding? Following the same colour scheme of spectate mode.

    Would be nice to see this. I also would like to see marine names on the big map when commanding.
