Search for a prop in the level???

Well this is embarrassing... I was ALT+moving a prop for a small amount, and accidentally right clicked... so that of course set off that annoying bug (which also disables undo until editor restart :( ), and the thing I'm moving goes shooting off through the level somewhere, and now I can't find it! It was just a tiny grenade launcher grenade, so as you'd expect, I'm having no luck just scouting around for it.

Sigh... I guess I'll just wait for someone to spot it during testing...

If you have your map in layers, just hide everything and there it is?
I once accidentally bounced one prop like a rocket somewhere outside the map, but hitting ctrl + a, and choosing the scale tool allowed me to find it in the end. Or if you're desperate, you could try to replace the grenade model with some huge skybox building or crane, works wonders! :)

Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to put my map into layers. I have props, lights, end entity layers, but the majority of the geo is un-layered. :(
Ooh, Hadn't thought about replacing the model... Probably more trouble than it's worth though.

Nnnnnnnnnope. You can't search for props even though you should be able to.

You are almost as crazy to not have layers as Loki is to work offgrid on Kodiak B-)

    1. in the "select options" disable props (vertices, edges, face, lights, entites: enabled)
    2. select nothing in the layer list & click on the layer "cursor" icon -> everything except props are selected
    3. create a layer "invisible" and add the selected objects into it & dont show them

you should see now only props

    4. in the "select options" ONLY enable props now & click on the "cursor" icon in the layer list again -> all props (not on a layer) should be selected
    5. now minimize the perspective and select the "top" view & maximize it
    6. press "zoom to elements" & activate the scale tool

you should be able to see all props. if 1 single prop is outside somewhere you should see it easily.

IF the prop is "inside" your map between other props:

you can only temporary replace the prop with a "huge" prop and restart spark again, to see it.

Aha! Found it! Just happened to stumble across it when doing occlusion geo.

Sorry Joseppe, didn't see your post until just now. :(
