I don't know about 300,000. The rate at which the donations are coming in is definitely slowing, which was to be expected. Still happy about 150k though.

It certainly has slowed down. Might need to drum up some more goodies and encourage players who have yet to contribute to reach the goal.

There's some promo material from PAX that has yet to be released by other channels. I'm not sure what's taking them so long, but it should be out there soon.

another 150 000 in a month ? Way too optimistic ... or delusional

whats the opposite of exponential ? logarithmic ?

The first 150k took a month, the next 150k will take like 6-12 months or more :>

The main player base has seen the advertisements, and most likely come to their final decisions regarding participation. It seems unlikely the game will see an influx of players, unless, a new mechanic is implemented... Though I feel it's an undervalued one in the industry, match making, especially for players in the sub-100 hour playtime category. Of course, this requires a semi-reliable ranking mechanic, and I don't believe a complex enough system is underway (matchmaking applying either/both to server placement, but more importantly, team balance, accounting for things like which players you would like to play with again, which team, etc.)

adding a $100 back would open up a nasty can of worms :( I wonder though, just how many peope would have baught the $333 Onos pack?

I would have bought the onos badge. I can't afford the onos badge college budget-wise, but I was buying it when the message said they were sold out.

That kind of "happen to be there" exclusivity really sucks. But I'm not about to buy 4 shadow badges..

I've not got the most disposable income atm so I've yet to buy any of the tiers. planning on buying the shadow tier.

If i recall correctly TotalBiscuit has some pax content to release which could help at least a small amount.

They run the most successful crowdfunding project ever, and it's a computer game (A space sim). Their insane success comes from a even more insane combination of luck, PR, milking the community and a (imo horrible) community that seems to enjoy this.

They manage to raise 150k within a mere day (after the release of the hangar module)
    So it is possible.

Yeah, but they do it by selling ingame items (ships) which are more then decoration. I hope UWE will never go this way...

Also, they already have a pretty big playerbase, which makes this a bit easier. Also, lately I got the feeling they have absolutely no scruple, which makes things a lot easier obviously. (See ingame store, but this is getting OT)

Exploiting the playerbase with adding in a "pay to win" option isn't going to be the way to go. Honestly, UWE just needs to do more effective marketing. More twitchtv channels since they're popular for some reason, more free weekend events, competetive match advertising on steam during these free weekends to add more legitimacy and less of an odor of desperation, more merchandise (more apperal designs, trading/playing cards, plushies, etc.), having an occasional discount on steam, or develop a sweet introduction movie using a lot of ingame footage of both commanding and playing from both sides to help hype up the game without overselling it.

Like what was said earlier, money from the reinforcement program will start coming in slower and slower so the only way they're going to make more money is drawing more people in. This is where a crack marketing team comes in. Or a marketing employee who's on crack.
