Just updated my NS2 and went through the optimization process when it prompted on first start up after the patch update.
All Graphics settings have been switched to Off/Minimal except Texture Streaming.
Using Windowed Fullscreen.
Physix GPU Accerlation is off.
Quick comparison between DX9, DX11 and OpenGL in terms of FPS within the main menu.
DX9 - 200FPS
DX11 - 180FPS
OpenGL - ~144
DX11:
Upon first start up of NS2, it took much longer for the main screen to render properly (black screen with background sound only). I've played around with the Graphics settings (set everything to high/max) and restarted it once more time using DX11.
Upon second start up of NS2, the game failed to load properly and caused NS2 to crash. (Debug report submitted)
Third start up took much longer to for the main screen to render properly as well. I've put everything back to minimal/off in the GFX settings and switched to OpenGL
OpenGL:
Upon first start up of NS2 everything loaded as per normal with no unusual delays.
I then started changing the GFX settings one by one from Off to On/High and encountered a few unusual rendering issues...
Turning Bloom on makes my whole screen really messed up (screenshots provided) - Turning Bloom off makes it fine.
It doesn't always make it mess it up when turning it on... But every time it does, it runs into different times of issues.
Very easy for me to reproduce the issue, I just simply toggling Bloom from on/off in the main menu.
Ambient Occulsion has some odd results as well... Leaving off is all fine with no issues.
But having it set to medium or high makes some of the screen pitch black. (Screenshots provided)
Also very easy for me to reproduce, I toggling the settings within the main menu.
My Specs:
Intel I5 3570k (stock)
Nvidia GTX 560 TI 448
8GB Ram.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you guys need more testings to be done.

What drivers are you running? A fully dxdaig would be most helpful.
