lol microsoft just pulled a complete 180 on all of their drm and online check in policies.

Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn first time I have seen MS swallow their pride and change a huge policy like that. Actually first time I have seen a huge company backtrack in gaming. I can't believe they took the perceived threat seriously.

Still DRM or not that $100 price different isn't going anywhere but at least they tried. Unless they release a cheaper kinectless console they will not outdo Sony.

No, backtracking has been done before. See Ubisoft and their DRM. It used to be very harsh, and enough bitching (after quite a number of games mind) made them backtrack. MS also has done with the upcoming changes to Win 8. Basically, power to the consumer!

They just removed the online connection, and removed sharing game limitations; however their TOS can change it back at any time.

Anyway you still shouldn't buy the console simply because it's their time to fall down, they fuck the pc community; they fuck their console players (and will continue to do so unless people stop buying their shit)

Time for them to flop, just like windows 8

"Although Microsoft isn't restoring the traditional start button on the lower left side of the screen, it is restoring a logo in that spot and will let users add favorite applications, such as Word and Excel, to a horizontal tool bar while working in Window's traditional desktop mode."

Yea no thanks either full start menu or screw MS. Ehh I don't know much about Ubisoft.

Not quite sure what there changes mean as of yet. Since it renders a lot of other featues, which they spent much time developing, usless. Will PS4 still retain the lead or will Xbox gain control. We shall all see after the launch of both consoles, which I am eagerly anticipating

I think you've hit the nail on the head as to why MS will struggle this generation. Irrespective of what their next console would be, gamers don't like companies being too big.

EA makes money how then? Just because you and I might hate the monstrosity that is M$, doesn't mean most people care, gamers included.

Xbox Live advertising division staff say the Xbox One was built with ads in mind; advertisers to get limited access to Kinect features.
    http://www.gamespot.com/news/xbox-one-created-with-advertising-in-mind-6411083
Microsoft hopes that the inclusion of Kinect with every Xbox One system will allow the company to better serve contextually relevant ads, and that integrating advertising material within content will make it less jarring.

“On Xbox, the ad is part of the actual experience, it’s not something that is outside. The only difference is that the advertisement we have is quite small and not disruptive, so people are not aware of clicking on the banners because they know this is a part of the whole experience on the dash,” the senior digital art director revealed

Does anyone know what this means? e.g. if it sees me drinking a can of Pepsi it'll put up an ad for a Coca-Cola or what?

I found a leaked image of XBone's new ad system:

Just to clear my name, I don't care what people play or enjoy; this is merely my opinion on the Xbox One. (Assuming the image even works, hurrhurr.)
