GDC has some strict rules on recordings, but we're going to do our best to make sure we can get @flayra's talk made public!

The comment on the final Photo "How About a Third race: Space sharks with lazOrs!"...

The Third race has gotta be a machine race of rogue AI nanites. I mean common! Space sharks don't be silly.

Same here I actually decreased play time because of it as well as the un enjoyable skulk game play. 235 was best performance I don't what happened after that just kept decreasing. ~X(

"This month is unusual because attention is focused almost entirely on the latter."

But I thought performance was always the number one issue :-S

Well Steve keeps mentioning performance in all his posts so it seems like he has something up his sleeve. Or it might not work and that's why he keeps it under wraps. At least they are actively trying so I appreciate it along with everyone else.

It's this kind of transparency that wins over fans. Far too few games (not any really) post things like this. We are just left in the dark. Good to know all programming right now is going towards optimization as i feel that is the largest setback in terms of keeping the playerbase relatively small.

I want a bean bag too. My productivity would skyrocket.
    Suggestions:
Tech Path of Hive actually upgrades the Hive itself
Give Gorges telepathic control over their Bait Ball for Overlord-style commanding of Babblers

And please allow to turn rooms into emergency-lit or dark versions if infestations grows over an unbuilt or damaged power node socket.

Are female Marine models still on the way? I wanna stick it to the patriarchy.

Why can't I play as a female marine yet? Why are men always the default, whilst womyn are placed on the backburner. This is an injustice that many are blind to, but the patriarchy hurts EVERYONE - not just men!

It's great to see informative posts like this. I look forward to more. Any insights into how a game like NS2 develops are fun to read.

P.S. Seeing stories of stuff that you decided not to do (and why) would be interesting as well.

    Outstanding!

I recommend you buy an extra copy of the game and give it away to someone you think might be interested in playing (if you don't know anyone like that personally, consider someone on The Generosity Thread). Everybody wins!
