Looks VERY good excepted: in the readyrrom, the strife sign--> too artificial same for observe and join marines "icons" There is a "little something" who make the lighting not as good as it could be, have u used the env_gamma entity?

did you do tanith as well? i really like that map, but it seems kind of ... flat (just about the whole map is at the same elevation) ... will strife have any major elevation changes?

Strife is anything but flat. I don't think the height changes are as drastic as Caged or Bast, but it *never* feels flat (I know what you mean about Tanith, love it though I do).

great geometry and nice lightning...i just think there is a bit too much of light blue/white lights. maybe are just the shots you chose Tommy.

I second that, MTF5k. We need more and neater weldables. In fact, I've only ever seen a weldable used ONCE in any game, ever, because if you turn off the tooltips, you can't tell where they are, and nobody but the playtesters are familiar enough with these maps to find the weldables consistently. Except for the "Giant La-ser" on Tanith, which was pimped quite a bit before release and is rather easy to find. I don't know what ANY other weldables do. It would be nice if some of them had some more, shall we say, dramatic effects... *cough*AIRLOCK*cough*.
Wow. One can tell the difference between looking at a map where the author is learning the ropes and one where the author is creating a new world to play in. This map is on the level of art. I bow down.
Only suggestion: Make the hovertank noticably disabled, or give some other reason as to why you can't hop in and start tankin' around. i've been away on winter vacation, so i haven't been able to work on the map recently. ill be working on it soon - i'm planning on having some cool weldables like the laser strike on tanith. i cut off about 20% of the map for the next version, so hopefully people won't think it's huge (it really isnt). this next version will have a bit more of the vertical element as well. i'm also probably going to chance the name of map. if i have time, i'll get a release soon i hope. i'll have a low entity version (faster) and higher entity version (with particle systems, other special effects, etc) when i'm finished. i'd like to see how each fairs with server performance.

As for hovering effects, please have one (pendulum or train).
Everything about this map is totally beyond unf.
As a new mapper, stuff like this is what keeps me inspired.
