Anti-cheat severely needed

I may be wrong but it appears as though this game has no way to fight against cheaters. I decided to come back to this game today since I had time and the first server I log into clearly has someone cheating. 47-6 seems rather high. So is there anything in the future for this game to combat against cheaters? Would be nice.

- Consistency checking is enabled by default.
- Server admins can ban players if desired.
- Beyond that, I'm sure UW is continually looking at ways to make the game better and less prone to exploiting and hacking.
So, based on these facts, what <i>else</i> do you suggest happen?

When they're consistently popping you with one shot with the shotty in hiding without knowing you're there from across the room and no scans it tends to raise an eye brow.
Doesn't mean they're cheating though. Some people are at that level, people just can't accept it because <95% players aren't.
Depends how consistently. Good players know most of the good hiding spots. You usually can't just hide somewhere and expect to not be seen. Hacks can't make the shotgun consistent at range any more than skill can.
Do you use the name "Doc"? I had that exact same score and someone said it wasn't possible except for being "assisted". Laughable.
If you don't do anything to improve yourself or adapt to a situation, then it is hard to break through that glass cieling.
Back in my day, people would have been flamed out of the forums for making claims like this without damning proof to back them up. Grumble grumble rabble rabble...
So if some has more then a 30 K/D there probably from Arc,Nxzl,exe,all-in........ or some other clan.
And remember some of us have been playing this game for years!
and then came cataclysm and nobody want post their world first kills because they uses massiv exploiting........
and so back in this day this guys say "i play 3 times in a row 40:1 warmup games befor clanmatch" and nobody post a video of this...
and no, records dosnt count we wanna see fraps, with your prozess table and all shown mods in your client and then start the game, join a rnd UWE server and play 3 rounds 40:1.

Back in my day half the competitive community of NS had been banned from servers for "hacking". Because pub stars are idiots who can't tell the difference between skill and hacks even when it's blatantly obvious, and server admins are only slightly above them. Produce evidence if you're going to make claims.

Aimbots and hook based wallhacks get around this.
Even then, in longer games these kinds of scores are possible. I'm not even that great a player and I can push 40-50 kills in 45-1 hour games with not so many deaths.
If I can do it, I can see how some of the really great players must look like they are cheating.

If you want people to be able to use custom shotgun models, and replace the axe with a CS knife, and give gorges cute eyes... then unfortunately, as a server admin, you'll have to sacrifice strict consistency checking.
I agree with you however. If you highest concern is anti-exploit (as it needs to be for competitive matches), this is an option you always have.

And alot of those very good players use smurf names in pubs, which is quite annoying.

I'm not saying hacking doesn't happen in the competitive community. I'm saying the NS competitive community has been absused far too long. Onus of proof is on accusers, not victims of accusation. I can never prove I'm not hacking, because I could always just turn on the hacks as soon as the videos over.
I get 40-15 FPS in NS2, The game's still fun for me, but I'm far from being able to play my best. Even with my FPS this bad I have had many games where I'm 2-1 score, and I'm VERY far from a great player in this game.
