Aliens (movie) mod?

I remember back in NS1 someone uploaded a xenomorph skin pack for aliens and they looked awesome. Is anyone doing that again by any chance? Would love to hop around the map as a dog alien from Alien 3.

    Soonâ„¢. Once the files for the models and animations have been released to the community then you will see a influx of new models etc.

    Then fox will shut it down, just like they shut down the Crysis 2 AVP mod.

    not quite, we had a total Aliens conversion model sets for NS1, pulse rifles, dog aliens, full aliens for fades. pretty much everything. The alien queen hive was pretty sexy aswell.

    actually I found the queen hive model rather mediocre, it kept replaying the same animation over and over and you could see the model stutter right before the next cycle. Anyway, I was wondering if you guys would take the mod even further this time by changing the creep as well. What made the alien hive so scary in James Cameron's movie was its webbing, like in these 2 screenshots:

    I did some googling and I managed to find that someone already drew up both the armor and uniform camo of the USCM.
    Decided to post this if anyone decides to take up the challenge and do some Colonial Marines reskin.

    So I decided to take matters into my own hands and make an USCM skin myself. This is the first modding attempt ever thus the weird coloring and such.
    I'm having trouble putting files on Workshop though. Can anyone help me?

    Part of the fun of the NS pack was making sure the models and animations matched up with the existing NS models and animations.

    A good example was the Runner Alien, as it had to be tweaked so that the tail didn't poke through the floor and telegraph its position when it was underneath things. Also, the weapon views had to sync up (as much as possible) with the existing views, so that an Alien player would not get an unfair advantage with not having teeth blocking his view. Don't even get me started on hitboxes.

    There have been plenty of changes in NS2 which make it unfeasible to do a straight port. You'd need to take apart the Kharaa completely and rebuild them from the ground up to ensure gameplay is affected as little as possible.

    Good luck to whoever tries it. Some of us just don't have the spare time anymore, or lost interest due to the actions of the community itself. I can think of more than a few competent regulars to the old NS modding forum who walked because of how they were being treated.


    As I said in the other thread, that armour is a good start. Stick at it!

    my goal is a mod collection with just some detail who can remember me alien movie ingame and not a full conversion

    i already did an exo skin inspired by the exo suit from the movie

    atm i work on add some famous sounds from the movie
