On another note: Swedes and Finns. Swedes and Finns everywhere.
Are these numbers based only on steam pre-orders or do they also take into account the kickstarted pre-preorders?
EDIT : I read the not-so fine print --> Preorders from 23/07 to 21/10...
They need like 2 preorders and that's already 50% of the population.
Yeah, and half the year it is dark so they don't go outside and play games 6 months of the year :P
5 Million in Norway.
I'm also surprised, by the norwegian pre-orders that is. Sweden were always a powerhouse in NS, and in competitive gaming in general. We had a few norwegian teams during the early days (2002-2003) centered around a norwegian gaming community that hosted an NS server at the time. After that fell apart, it was as you describe; an occasional player here and there.
Norway has always been weak in competitive gaming, compared to our neighbours, though, so I guess it's perfectly possible that a large number of norwegian players simply stayed as anonymous public players for the most part.
funny considering that ensl emerged from the fnsl
9 DAYS *.*
Good to see it tho :)
Denmark
Think we need servers here too bro!
Does 'Asia' here mean everywhere in Asia except SEA?
You guys should make a Korean translation...soooo many untapped audiences.
Trying to play the game in Asia is hard. Normally you gotta connect to servers in the US or Australia which gives you a ping of 150-300 in my experience :(
So how about later on, when the game is polished and totally complete, you have an official server in East Asia for players in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan?
