EEEEW WINDOWS XP
LOL jk.
as i was looking at it, there were some things i thought could work a little better -
1) default the trailer vids to at least 720p quality.
2) make all the scrollbars with multimedia (screenshots, vids) pop out in a window like the 'watch trailer' and tutorial buttons, and make those default to 720p too.
3) system requirement listings - would look clearer by just listing windows xp/vista/7, if you need to make it clear that you support both 32 and 64 bit OS's put it at the end. people who are looking at the minimum requirements want to see clearly and quickly what the bare minimum is, the way that it's worded is cluttered.
4) the icons for the individual lifeforms aren't immediately obvious that they link to the tutorial videos - i only discovered this by accidentally mousing over one. perhaps give them a more striking border? or pair them with a simple pixel art icon? also, could be made more intriguing by lining up all the alien icons on one side and giving the marine one a slight separation.
5) indie booth: the movie has a malformed youtube link, doesn't play the video.
Great work! The artistic design is really nice.
Lmao, WTH! Evey one has a good little bit written about them and some of it quite funny. the it gets to

If I view the source and click the link to the CSS from there, the link works, but the page doesn't use it.

flash strikes again.
I get the same effect as well.
Though in the back of my mind, I know this happens on other sites as well.
Yep, flash is most likely the culprit there. Even more so if you are browsing on OS X.
If the background visual effects could be replaced with HTML5/JS, that would significantly improve performance but affect backwards compatibility with old browsers. Then again, IE6/IE7 users may not be NS's target demographic anyways.
