And let's not forget that just because someone has been playing competitively for x amount of years and is well known and well liked throughout the community, doesn't mean they don't have some suspicious code running under the hood of their rig. :)

I played ns1 for 5 years, and I'm an alpha buyer for ns2. after being killed by said player a few times that were sort of unexplainable, I spectated them third person. it was blatantly obvious. you werent in the game, so I suggest you give up your stance on the matter. and as rise said above, I've been playing ns1/ns2 long enough to recognize a good player. there was definitely something going on with "sarah" that had nothing to do with skill.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I dont think jucci had to be in that game to know one of his teamates doesn't cheat rofl

So just played a game with "Tone" one of the guys calling "sarah" a hacker. I think of my self as a ok player. Im not super good but im not bad. We were both on marines. I went 14ish and 17 i think, he went 5-17.... These are the people calling others hackers. Someone can't have fast reaction speed its seem's and if they do...they hack. Im sure im gonna get flamed, but owell :)

Pistol script arguably was useful if you were used to it, but it still came down to aim. WIth the script if you missed it was 2 shots missed instead of one. I could fire at the cap just by clicking them out.

3 Jump script and scripting fade blink/meta or blink bhop did make actually executing those movements easier, but did absolutely nothing to make you use them in ways that was proficient and effective. The fade movement is an excellent example, as very few people could even come close to playing that class anywhere near its maximum. Over the last 4 years or so since I returned to playing NS1 there was only 2 NA players I saw fade at what I would consider a high level. I can also remember quite a few cheaters whos movement was so terrible with the fade that even though they would never miss a swipe if you were in range, you could easily kite them around with good intelligent movement. Ive seen countless people cheat in NS1, and it was always extremely obvious once you watch their movement and aim.

mp_consistency did absolutely nothing to stop scripts IIRC, your thinking of sv_blockscripts

Scripting should be discouraged by the game mechanics. Things like a minimum refire rate (like the pistol was given) completely stop the pistol scripts. The same can be done by the developers to remove or mitigate scripting's benefits.

    25/2 does not mean 'Hacks'.

False and clearly-angry-at-the-person-in-question accusations of cheating are what invalidate and obfuscate the legitimate accusations at real hackers.

You accuse someone because they are better than you and have occasional suspiciously good killstreaks; that person is exonerated by the community and you're laughed at as an angry player, repeat this fifty times and when the real hacker/cheater comes along and is borderline legitimate appearing, it gets umbrella'd under the policy you've established through your foolish witch-hunting.

Fact is pretty much that most people aren't competent, intelligent, and aware enough to 'Cheat', especially when you'd have to write your own code/develop your own cheats, and pre-launch in a beta environment with a closed audience and a small enough playerbase to solidly identify and ban you. That would be an absurd environment to elect to cheat in.

How about you gather some serious statistics, time-spent observations, demo's via livecapture, and then present fifty or so pub matches of impeccable no-missing, foreknowledge and obscene K:D, instead of a single 'OMG THEY WENT 25:2' as if that's impressive?

Let's name some people who regularly get '25:2' on either side of the game: (off the top of my head, sorry if i miss anyone i regularly play with)

    Joe!
    Rantology
Colt (Me, thus why I'm so agitated by halfassed accusational types)
    Quovatis
    AdHd / Xanax

A couple of the All-In members get similar scores regularly when I play with them.
Five minutes ago I was in a game with a fellow 'Wazishiwa', went 20:1, 27:2, and 18:0 in 3 consecutive matches. We also had similar scoring players on the other side.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

With the current hit/registry problems in this game that me and the few buddies that I play with all encounter it is hard for me to believe it is skill. Really they're a few people I have played against with 100+ ping and asked them what their FPS was which according to them was under 40 and they just used aliens to mop the floor. You insta die if you encounter them. Ya you are so right your buddies are just really good at shooting at nothing and hitting aliens.

please stop posting screens of your scores playing as a fade. that is completely different.

as far as jucci is concerned, obviously since I'm not going 21-0 means I have no grounds to state suspicion on someone.

I really dont give a ###### if this person is a competitive player. as stated above by MULTIPLE people, just because they are known, doesnt make them a saint. when I was a kid in high school, I played in cal-i for counter-strike. it was common for me to go 4:1, 5:1 kill ratio. I can recognize people with good reactions. I'm much older now and dont play counter strike, but I still retain the ability to recognize reactive players.

no human is capable of completely predicting without any error an opposing players movement in ANY first person shooter. and this is exactly what said player was doing.

Pretty much. Catching hackers is best left to the pros.
