Option to make Phase Gates one-way

Phase Gates make Marines Lazy
Have you ever found that as soon as there is a PG up, all you marines get lazy and just hang around the bases and never try to expand?

I know a good comm will have good communication, but perhaps the option for a comm to designate specific PG's as being "Receive Only" would allow him to force his lazy marines to use their legs... ESPECIALLY NOW THEY CAN RUN (WOOOOOOT).

So what do you wanna expect without Phase Gate? Struggling to get just 2 nearest resource node? Phase Gate is definately the most important structure for marines to win the game. For both NS1 and NS2.

p.s. Oh a bit misunderstood, but one-sided would also bring only disadvantages, not advantages... It's like Soviet Union!

Phase gates are 2-way because it creates more options/levels of skill for BOTH teams. It's better for the game than 1-way gates just for that.

No comm would EVER remove functionality from the equipment he/she buys.. Thats just dumb.

Agreed, 2-way gates are way better than 1-way gates. What would be nice, though, is if the commander could set the order on the phase gates. So instead of having to go through 2 to 4 gates to get to a late-game objective, you could just go through the one.

Maybe even pay a small amount of (p)res or CC energy to designate a PG as being in a state of distress, to make every phase send you there for a few seconds.

I generally find that 'guys go over here and I'll give you a phase gate' is pretty good encouragement.

    +1 - like it...

Also, perhaps giving the Comm the option to play bad music in certain rooms to make the marines uncomfortable and encourage them to leave the area?

Mariachi band FTW, however that is actually quite catchy stuff so they might not leave the room...
