Hmmm I wonder what has changed
EDIT
Btw released my flashlight.
I KNEW IT. You haven't an idea how much grief that twitchy entity-destroying mechanism has given me, I marked it down as being part of some optimized memory-management system introduced a few builds back.
I loaded the game, saw the new background, and was like OMG NEW PATCH!
Steam can be so ninja!
edit: fixed, posted below
check the threads .... released it.
This soldier did not recover from the doggie bites to his yahballs. He died instantly.
It's so bad.
This.
Why.
When will I be able to plug in headphones while playing and not lose sound?
This.
Edit: Huh... I can't seem to repeat it. I'll keep trying, maybe it was an anomaly.
Yeah... I rarely have issues with patch notes but this is just confusing. It's such an old and outdated aspect ratio.
This was not a bug. It was simply how the system worked before. But OnDestroy being called immediately is more natural and will lead to less bugs overall we believe.
or 48:10 :)
I can finally see the servers again. I disabled Comodo Firewall today or yesterday. Somehow it was still blocking the connection.
- addicted since gorilla patch
Thanks once again devs!

I -think- they made it so that those with wider aspect ratios will have a larger field of view, instead of those of us still not using wide-screens were having less. That's my guess, atleast.
Yes you are missing something. If you are playing at 4:3 you will see exactly the same thing you saw in Build 194. If you are playing at 16:9 you will be see more horizontally than you saw in Build 194. The change message means that the FOVs are designed around 4:3 aspect ratio, so at 4:3 the Marines will see 90 degrees.
I'm sitting on a 27" 16:9 monitor and I get lost trying to bite people.
Fov is probably more of a resource in this game than many other FPS games. Consider a skulk biting in close quarter combat, or a marine building while keeping an eye out. I don't think 4:3 90 fov makes the cut any more. I also do not think 4:3 monitors are the majority any more.
However I will admit, I may be missing your point altogether. Perhaps you can elaborate?
