Hmm. I'm in Poland right now, which gets excluded from a lot of online communities because of bad reputation. It's pretty frustrating, especially since I'm actually Canadian. People who exclude others based on their geographical location are stupid, elitist thunder-######.
Here's a nice idea: ban individuals not countries.
Good day.
Latency was actually decent tho, GJ on that UWE =)
It is simply spending a lot of time crashed/not working properly (currently showing 15/20, but I dont think anyone is actually on it atm), but the performance is pretty fantastic when it does work.
Although I still wish it was east coast so us Europeans got a better ping.
correction: could not connect now, when 15/20. I guess no one likes pingers.

A client's country can be derived from their IP (proxys and alike notwithstanding), so yeah.
But I'm not sure we're talking about the same server, it is 67.180.48.149:27016 right? That thing has been a broken ghost-server for the last 35+ hours now. Someone over at UWE should put the thing out of it's misery (eg. restart the damn server).

If only we had some sort of solution to finally deal with this issue once and for all...
<img src="http://troll.me/images/futurama-fry/not-sure-if-trolling-or-just-stupid.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
I don't need to justify myself...but
1. Its not the first day i got this message with only that server, you genius.
2. look at the image about your comment
3. the game use the lua-scripting, it could be possible that UWE use some to only allow usa ips because of ping and stuff...maybe they want testing the servers...not just the same playtesters.
Thats why i ASK, are you understand what a question mark means? (lol)
4. If a server crash, its not in the list anymore on default...so its weird every server works but Official not...which could give the guess, thats maybe not allowed IPs from EU or Germany...
Server is still in the list but could not connect...maybe its freezed who knows, but i know, if a server crash i played or want to play and its crashs (people tell me over steam), they disapear from the list...
It's obviously an anti-USA script too.
Can someone in Antartica confirm if it's working there?
Why it's listed in the server list, I do not know but like the thread stated the players have to be phantom players. Once UWE figure it out I'm sure the server will be back up. For what its worth I have yet to be able to connect to the server as it's always FULL. Only recently did I get the current error message (which is the same you are getting I'm sure).
you are badddd
PS
I also got this error on Inversion #2 showing 14/16 for hours and hours and ... never saw it clear up.
For a server to run un-attended, you need a few things, in no particular order:
Restart when empty (to quickly fix the server in case it goes bad and people all dump out, or just for general housekeeping).
Daily reboot (to prevent this issue in case the restart when empty doesnt catch it).
Automatic updates. (linked below)
Reboot when the server.exe reaches a memory limit (I use 1.3GB). This will catch physx crashing and a few other things leaking horribly.
Registry entries to prevent windows informing you of a program crashing. (devnull has also linked this below)
Devnull has a mod which achieves most of the above (http://unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=113414), the rest can be done by task scheduler or whatever you feel comfortable with.
I'm sure there's more, but that's call I can think of currently.

I Lol'd.
I'll see if I can get Max to restart it.
