Why not? It's still a 16:9 aspect ratio and wouldn't be too hard.

WHY ARE YOU LIMITING ME

When you launch the game it automatically resets it.

Hmm, you could try setting it to read only in the file properties settings (right click on file thingy)

Why play in 1920x1080 when you can play in 7,680 × 4,320? (You may have to attach a few monitors together though).

Joking aside,
Have you tried setting the file to read only?
- Also-
What kind of frame rates do you get when you play NS2?

*edit*
Looks like someone was a little quicker than me in suggesting read-only.

Playing 1920x1080 since engine test without problems...

Its selectable ingame, and it is changeable in the options.xml.

Try to verify integrity of game cache or reinstall ns2 in steam... if thats not helping - its not ns2 causing your problem.

NS2 just displays the resolutions than your graphics driver is reporting it can support, we don't filter them.

Set to read-only, still rendering at 1600x900

And my graphics card can support 1920x1080

And your monitor? I know it is a dumb question but does it support 1920x1080?

Not used to this monitor, just checked. Seems like it's 1600 x 900.

So you wonder why you can't put 1920x1080 on your 1600x900 screen...?! C'mon!

But to satisfy everyone the game actually supports higher resolution then your monitor with some tricks, but I wouldn't recommend it ;) check out commanding on 4k:

Try 1650 x 3712 (based on 4 16:9 monitors (=16:36).
Or change the FoV that would be the better solution.

I tried running in eyefinity with 6036*1080 (with baffle correction) but the FOV is too close (seems to be like 30 degrees per monitor). It seems like it's hardcoded to adjust to the resolution ratio. If I could change the FOV myself, that would work.

Also the font is very blurry.

Edit: Added screenshots from NS2 in eyefinity.
