I was hoping to play NS1 again, unfortunately I cannot find any servers at all. Have all NS players/server owners moved to NS2? Or am I having a problem just finding servers? Many thanks for anyone that can answer this

I'm not sure, but I would have thought there still a few servers up. Do you have any filters set on your server browser? Is Half-Life being blocked by your antivirus?
thanks tschumann, I managed to get help in NS2 forums, seems there is something wrong with my HL1 server browsing, have been using 3rd party browsers instead. All is well now
I still see the BAD servers running still. The problem with the BAD Classic server is that it still has siege maps, and some people think it is funny to vote for them, then they (along with everyone else) will quit the server as soon as the map changes.
Just curious - on average how many players are online playing NS1 nowadays?
I just got NS2, and it seems until the next patch, the player count will remain horribly low. However it was nostalgic enough to make me want to try the NS1 experience again this weekend - assuming there's still fully populated servers.
I wish that list would show me the server IPs it's using for it's stats. I logged into various games last night, and all of them were populated entirely by bots...

Yeah, I just did the same after getting annoying with NS2, wanted to relive some of the old nostalgia, unfortunately the only servers populated by something other than bots had a ping from hell >.<
There are still 7-8 NS1 servers around, mine being one of them. I've run a NS server since 2003 and don't plan on shuttering it any time soon.
