It would be quite nice if both sides could use their movement enhancing structures to boost their builder units, you could cut speed to compensate of course but it would be rather nice to be able to use your infrastructure to buff your builders too.
In 184 MACs are slow (real speed). Using PGs for the path finding would be an excellent addition to the game, as currently MACs are usually targeted, and die constantly.

Make the MACs able to teleport. And stun all aliens on the screen. And self-destruct to kill all aliens on screen. And heal marines. And cost 10 energy instead of resources.

I'm cool with that, but I don't get the point of stun, I mean, why stun when you can just IED those ######ez. Right?

lets see advantages to macs.
1. Only thing able to repair buildings 2. repairs power nodes alot faster than marines 3. is able to build the structures to remove the burden from players so that players are PLAYING not sitting at a building holding "E" 4. Once upgraded with the mac speed upgrade at the robo lab, actually quite fast 5. Only thing able to weld doors(once added into game)
The only commanders who don't use Macs are terribad pugnub commanders,
I'm all for change when needed, but MACs rock and I use them all the time as commander both in base and on the front lines. They are good the way they are...just fix the pathing!

That's probably because 1. RL is less important than AL upgrades or Obs beacon/scan/PG, so MACs come out later in the game 2. MACs are high priority targets for aliens, so its hard to keep them alive (can't repair them and sometimes the pathing leads them directly into the jaws of a skulk)
I'd love to see them buffed just a little (or their cost reduced), but I don't necessarily think they should use phasegates. I would like to see them built from the CS again.

The important things on that list aren't advantages, they're deficiencies in marine equipment. Macs being the only thing able to weld anything is more of a bug than a feature.
Once marines get welders the only thing macs will be is much crappier and more expensive versions of marines, especially as marines CAN use phase gates to travel much faster.

Why would a trained soldier have a welder and be able to weld complex mechanics and electronics? Interdependence of function is GOOD for gameplay. Very few people in the beta realize this.
Well Hakujin, in NS1 players were given welders by the commander. They have always been able to weld stuff and players as well. I disagree with that idea of MACs being the only unit allowed to weld - players should have this ability also, it comes to be very useful to the team.
On another note: I do not like the idea of MACs using phase gates, this will probably only cause more problems. MACs are extremely fast and don't really need this feature.

+1
they are already fast enough.
Honestly all your ideas so fasr have consisted of one sentence, and have all been really bad ideas
