You can try to counter with early Gorge putting some Hydras around, and lots of Skulkery :P

Just a little thing i noticed here! When you get the distress beacon teleport, everything's good but the sound is extremely loud. Egg spawn may have to meet somewhere in the middle but so far i see no problem with it. So far so good tho looks like tables are more even now thats for sure! =D

Oddly enough the alien side on the server kept getting steamrolled by the marines, probably due to some of us having terrible computers and running at 10fps sometimes.

- Shade model needs to be 30% smaller. It's too freakin big! - Shade model looks great though - Shade disorient effects marine voice comms, which I think is very bad - Hive doesn't fully cloak from the shade (can see yellow mist) - Camouflage is quite overpowered. Scan cost needs to be reduced to 10 to compensate. Guarantees skulks to get at least one bite in now. - Alien comm having big troubles placing cysts now. The model doesn't show up, and when it does it doesn't place properly - Beacon timer needs to be back at 3 seconds. 4 seconds is too long for all the fades to evacuate from base. - Love the new summit changes (not in the changelog!!!) - Like the new IP/armor sounds (not in changelog either)

Agreed. It's a neat idea, but it will only encourage players to use ventrilo in pubs to avoid losing communication with their teammates. Sound distortion/shader effect is fine though. Anyways here's some feedback:
Pros:
- Shade is neat. - New sounds are great as usual. - Like the changes to Summit
Cons:
- Camouflage upgrade is like cloak from NS1, minus the cool downs (which I'm sure is likely temporary). I would save the cloak for the shades trigger, and the camouflage upgrade should allow aliens to blend into their environment like a chameleon while standing still. It's not 100% invisible, but marines would need a sharp eye to spot them, which is nigh impossible in a unpowered room. Think more along the lines of "they're coming out of freaking walls!" than "oh man that's cheating he just appeared out of thin air in front of me". This is probably tricky to implement technically. Anyways...
- I like the hud warning message the distress beacon gives now (instead of random transport back to base ala NS1). The sound is solid but still needs tweaking. It's too loud when notifying you on your hud. Is it possible for a light or something to go off on the obs when beacon is activated as well?
- Cyst placement is weird in AS on Summit. It seems to have reverted back to the LOS system, which has helped with the issue of aliens getting 3 total nodes under a minute. Still a bit annoying though.
Camouflage is awesome Make the effect a little more subtle With Alien vision it looks ... too much
Plays way better smoother in general.

I am still not a fan of the neverending game. I don't rage quit ....but i have to sleep man. I still think resource nodes should expire. A base surrounded on both sides should not be able to build turrets forever.

From the looks of things, though, the balance is still extremely alien biased. I'm slightly disappointed, but it's not unexpected.
