Cannot activate the game thru Steam

Hello, I just bought the game a few hours ago and I could not register the key thru Steam. It says my computer cant reach the servers or that the service is temporarily unavailable. I waited a few hours and still no luck. Is there something wrong related to my account or am I doing something wrong? Please help.

    Maybe try searching the error <a href="https://support.steampowered.com/" target="_blank">here</a> and see what the suggestions are.

    I'm having the same exact problem with NS2. Just purchased it, but Steam is unable to connect with the server apparently.

    Sounds like Steam's auth servers are having issues, I'd wait a few hours more and see if it gets fixed by Valve.
