So please NS 2 team, please make a system test thing for NS 2!

The public normally doesn't get to see a game in this state, the beta by other big brand companies is pretty much a finalized and optimized game with some gameplay issues which have to be addressed. In NS2's case we get the privilege of experiencing the entire alpha/beta/final process, not just the final transition of final beta -> full release, which is a tiny step in the entire process
As a matter of fact hl1 had this rail thing where it showed the screen a load of stuff to see what affected the pc/laptop's performance.

Well, that would be neat. Except for the fact that the game enginge is also in a beta. Right now everybody is playing in 15-30fps on average, regardless of spec.
edit: Wait did you just say 15-30fps!!!
Lol no way, it would have to be at least 60-120 to be playable!
Yeah i know, right!?

You know, sarcasm isnt very effective on the internet, it mostly creates confusion =/
How? Oh and the guys at SC 2/blizzard said my pc would not be able to play SC 2 yet my pc plays it better than most others WTF?
Hu?
edit: that was not sarcasm...
Please post your specs.

Wow, so you honestly cant play a game below 60-120fps?
Nope no need, if a game does not have higher than 40fps then its not worth playing. [hardcore CCS,AVG,CA Pro]

Well technically, there was an official engine test that was released before Alpha. Of course you still had to pre-order, but you should be doing that anyways. There's really no excuse for not buying NS2 if you're really curious about it running on your PC. Buy it anyways, and if it doesn't run well, then do an upgrade. The beta state isn't fully optimised, but we should definately see improvements in every patch.
ROFL!!! I/we want to make sure that the game will work BEFORE! we buy it!!!
[Sorry for my trolling]
Oh and may i ask you how/where do i go to find my pc specs the other guy seems to not know what i am talking about...
Demos are one of the easiest things to update. [if you know how to]

but ns2 is getting there, will just take some time...
how much? dunno. 2-3 patches? or 1-3 months?
if you can run modern games at 60-120 fps then ns2 will be no problem, you will probably have 30-40fps as it is now
and what gamer doesn't his CPU/GPU? please

*sigh* Never mind i will look up how to find pc specs. LOL, thanks for your help?
[dont call me a troll]
Tss, i'll have you know i played CS competitively with 10-20fps back in the days, when others were sporting 90+fps.
Granted tho, life is easier past the 30fps mark.
Tho its still a wee bit different to say you need atleast 60-120fps (implying you need >120 in order to not suck), and having a minimum req. of 40fps, which is what i reacted to.

Yes, and you can wait trying the game out until its _stable_.
Believe me, UWE has way more important things to work out than a demo that will need just as much maintenance as the complete game.
And for system specs, press WIN+r and type in "dxdiag" in the box.
Then paste all the info from the "System information"-box.
Also flip over to the "Display 1"-tab and post everything in the "Device"-box.
