What do aliens have left to add? (marines have alot more content)

when thinknig about the alien and marine teams it seems to me that the marines have a hell of alot more units to add.

Exo-armor
Robot factory
Chaingun
jetpack
MASC

All the aliens seem to be wiating for is the onos. I honestly think the aliens need something else. Possibly thier own smobile structure (masc like) to destroy marine defenses or prehaps provide more of a support role to the aliens

    plz no jetpacks, how are we supposed to kill flying marines with out ranged attack on aliens side? lerks? are u kiddin me? Fade no longer flys, so marines should not be able to fly either.

    aliens are waiting for all of our second and third and forth attack moves, and abilities, all otu classes only have 1 or 2 abilities right now. and Onos.

    Jetpacks should be in, but they should be more for huge/high jumps, not flying around.

    Why draw conclusions when the game is not even done yet... Heck there are still things to be added to the Khaara and we don't even know how the Jetty is going to work anyways...

    Onos paralize, Fades instantly blinking at the flying jetpack guy's back to swipe at him, Hydra's, Dynamic infestation slowing them down, Whips slapping them out of the air, leap biting skulks to some extend, gorge spitting or Lerks sniping them or gassing them. Just a few things I could think of which would be the bane of a jetpacker and my money is on UWE to think up even better ideas...

    the game is still so early in development... it's silly to be complaining about balance over a feature that isn't even in the game yet =/

    1. we don't know how far into the tech tree the JPs are
    2. we don't know how they work (i.e. length of flight, speed, dynamics)
    3. we don't know what other abilities aliens will have


    save your balance complaints until we have something to actually complain about.

    1. The fades in NS1 had no trouble killing jetpackers, and then their's oc's and lerk gas.

    2. I've yet to see a way to 1-shot a lerk.

    3. The jp doesn't have infinite fuel.

    4. Because marines are cooler then aliens. J1 = marines, J2 = marine-cannon-fodder

    yes I know, fades could fly in ns1 too, thats why it was no problem, cause you could fly with the jp'er, now blink doesnt fly anymore, u will just drop back to the ground. This is the EXACT problem i am talking about......Lerks and Hydra's should not be the only 2 things in the game that can kill a jp, not to mention Hydra tracking is not so great and probably wont be htiting anything flying back and forth fast around a room.

    Whips are going to be mobile, and they will have an anti-structure attack. Aliens also need another chamber and I assume they will be getting some more abiliites on the classes they do have, which is equivalent to marine weaponry. They also need the dynamic infestation which is going to have gameplay effects.

    Personally i didnt like jet packs in NS1.... i thought they were way too easy to use and had far too much fuel. However the fact that a fade could blink up to them made it balanced. Like everyone said the game is still not finished and there will likely be many additions to the Khara. But i understand why the second poster dislikes jet packs.

    i know aliens get upgrades but so do the marines, we have yet to see alot of the secondary attacks for the current weapons yet.

    I think they're going to keep something under wraps through the beta and reveal it at launch so release day is more special.

    A new alien lifeform would be soooo sweet. So would a new marine class.

    I'd love to have "synthetic" marines as a gap between marines and the exoskeleton, but that may be borrowing far to much from Aliens.

    Hmmm...I'll ruminate on that idea.
