Yes, it's definitely WW3. You must send all your money to me, for safe keeping in case of a nuclear apocalypse. You'll of course get it all back after the war.

Russel Howard says it best: 'We all want to be happy, we're all going to die.' It's that simple. Why do people want wars?

    Sad face.

    North Korea Still ######.

    More news at 11.

(Seriously is this surprising? North Korea are complete ###### and they're currently undergoing preparation for a change in leadership. They're going to be pushing buttons and doing ###### like this).

Obama's policy of 'Strategic Patience' is being tested to see how far they have to go to get the attention ( and appeasement ) of the US.

It'll all blow over in a few weeks of a standoff in which NK will talk hard, and eventually some food aid will be provided and they'll go back to their foxholes.

Put that in your Baba Vang and smoke it.

I got really excited because I thought this would be a thread about starcraft2. I am disappoint.

on topic: what puzl said - this is just NK flexing their biceps, it will blow over in a few weeks.

Have you seen Kim Jong Il recently? He doesn't have biceps. He looks like a confused 90 year old grandmother who has had a bad hair transplant.

Signal to Noise, lolfighter. People are fascinated by the hocus pocus that hasn't failed yet, but completely gloss over all the doomsday prophecies that have passed without event or are so far in the future to be unverifiable/irrelevant. Expect the mayan/2012 ###### to get out of control next year :(

I DO. I wish I had the energy to relentlessly mock it until, well, 2014. "Hey guys, remember two years ago when the world ended? Man, that sure was harsh, huh? It would've been pretty sweet if the world hadn't ended, I kinda liked this place." Hell, I wish I could mock it longer than that, but seeing how I live in Europe I'll be dead by then.

You know, I wonder if those doomsday people would be willing to accept a loan from me now and then agree to pay it back with 10000% interest in January, 2013. I mean, it's free money, right? The world will have ended by then so they'll never have to pay it back. It's such a stupidly good deal, they'd never refuse. NEVER.

Come to think of it, when I was nine or ten I read some stupid book on prophecies that predicted global war in 2001. I did the math and figured out that I'd be liable to be conscripted to fight and die in that war, and I got pretty scared and my parents had to calm me down. If I had a time machine I'd pick up my younger self, find the author of that book, and have childlolf watch as I crammed the book down the author's throat. Sideways.

I sort of don't understand the whole World War 3 stuff. Only the U.S. seems interested in the affairs of South/North Korea.

The USA always thinks the world revolves around them and in a way, they are somewhat correct

There *are* services that let Christians pay someone to take care of their pets. Y'know, after the Rapture.

    These services apparently make money.

Basically the US has a vested interest based on previous policy to keep NK from blowing the ###### out of SK. Also, NK may or may not have nukes. Which are scary.

I'm guessing this is mostly a ploy to test China and the US in terms of international policy. After all, China is kinda on the rise, and we all "Hope and Changed" that we would remain loved by all as the savior and giant policeman of the world.

Hell of a way to promote your son to your position. Launch a surprise attack on your neighbor with artillery as a show of strength. I'm glad Europe and North America doesn't have bull###### dictators like that.

Well the US is required by treaty to defend South Korea should the North invade and the North would have invaded by now if they thought they could get away with it.

So yeah, the US takes interest in Korea for a reason.

Edit: Even Sarah Palin has declared that we must stand strong with "our North Korean allies"
    Couldn't leave that out.

The real question is whether or not now that China is more internationally vested if they can stand by an insane NK.
