I'm not satisfied</div>Getsatisfaction might be a nice thing, but it tends to be pretty confusing, and it's easy to loose track of a topic and get an overview of all reports. And there is often a tendancy that an old report is being digged up and a reply is posted wich is similar but not quite exactly the same.
So I took my time to compile a list of the recent reported problems, tried to reproduce them and compiled them to a list:

    Thats alot of bugs you have reproduced and confirmed being problems :S.

    You forgott to add bugs for other map, where I know for a fact that you can exit map trough roof in 2 vents, might be more I havent walked in.

    Also, at ns tram, when you get connection issues and enter a room where tech point was culled away, you see a hole in floor and can fall torugh it, in the other it has map geometry covering the hole.

    Try and reproduce if you can, I had little success at least by clicking "B" for Build Structure and then "E" for Extractor.

    I did a quick check on the other two maps now, and found the spots there. It would guess that the prop used in the vent simply is missing a flag for being solid.
    The hole in the floor is on connection problems is technically not really a bug. The Server is not sending an update and therefore your client does not know what is supposed to be there, so it's being left empty, and since there is nothing below you get the hole. The geometry you see at other spots is actual level geometry build below it.

    It's actually not that many bugs alltogether, and a couple of them are already being worked on, thinking of the server and connection problems. The list might be long, but most of the stuff are smaller glitches which are not really gamebreaking but sometimes pretty funny (see bunnyleap), but still they should be addressed when they are repeatable.

    To me playing an alpha or a beta is is basically a mixture of both.. having fun playing but also checking for bugs, trying to recreate them and hand it to the developers. Sure checking the bugs and trying to recreate them is not something you do in a minute, but if it takes a bit of work off the devs, hell yeah, I'm all in for it.

    @Sorcerer: Bravo! Good man! THIS is exactly the kind of support/feedback UWE needs from the community!

    I'm almost 100% certain ns2_junction and ns2_rockdown are pure test maps and won't make it into the final game. So, I doubt we'll see any fixes to either of them. Although, I think Sgt.Barlow said they did update rockdown recently. ns2_tram IS going to be in the final game, so those bugs do matter.

    Here is another one for you:
    When killed with the Armory menu shown, it won't go away after you respawn. Sorry, no screenshots/videos of this.

    Added the armory upgrade bug, the commander menu hotkey bug, and armory can be used by aliens.

    your armory bug sounds pretty much the same like the main menu problem. added it there.

    I think it would be best if you wrote that up on GetSatisfaction and link it, loose forum-replies can't be put as nicely into a list and harder for the developers to track.


    Also I were playtesting around a bit today and came up with some issues with the selection system for the commander-mode. Up to you if it's worth putting into the list. It contains four entries in the same entry to GetSatisfaction. The first one is probably of most importance.

    Playing as a marine, suddenly I had ALIEN UI overlaying the normal Marine UI. So I could actually see where all the aliens were, and had an alien health bar in addition to the marine one. I have no idea what triggered it. I tried taking a screenshot but it came out black.

    confirmed, one of the first things that bugged me yesterday. I had to return to the armory on next spawn and it dissapears after leaving it a 2nd time.

    2 things: If you're a marine and you shoot directly down, you spin. I'll see if I can repeat the process with various weapons. And are vents explicitly for skulks now? I've noticed that the standard wide low size does not allow gorges out (I evolved in the vent) or marines in (under a trolley in Tram I think).

    I shall test these things more and make a Get satisfaction response thinger.

    Oh, the Flamthrowers placeholders have vanshied from the build, Brendan has started/is starting soon? the new ones, current ones was a quick test of how to do the implimentation to find something that roughtly works, now that a good idea on how to achive the flame spread has been achived he is able to now work on something more substantial now hes got a soild direction to go in his methods.

    because you are playing a game that is in development you are going to see some of the dog rougth bits that are put in to test stuff out, This is a part of development you would not normally see but is how it's done, otherwaise you would only see the fully polised end result on final release.

    If something does not look quite right don't worry. Cory has ulta high standards and beats us with sticks till its done right.
    On the other hand with that in mind it would be difficult for you lot to know whats going on in detail so you would not know if somethig is supposed to missing or not.
    i would not worry about things like that, its more than likely we know already but our focus is else where. Full focus to polish will come near the end of a beta just before release.
    Current task is debugging & implimentation but even so dispite this the polish stage is always creeping along slowly at the moment too because there are always people dedicated to just that task while everyone else is foucused on the other tasks that are currently the highest priority.
