  It will not work, sorry. You need a proper HL or CS install for this to work. NS1 is in addition completely unrelated to Source.

  Make sure you actually get the old game and not the new source version! NS runs on the goldSRC engine dating back to 1998.

  At one point you could run HL mods from CS (and sometimes DOD), however I believe that valve removed that ability (and blocked the workarounds). Do what Kouji said, and buy HL.
