    My guess is that the engine test will be starting April 1st or April 2nd, rather than April 9th. Its their little April Fools Day prank on us.

    And now we're in april and still no alpha. Not even an alpha anouncement !

    The engine test is complete, and chances are, so is the alpha. Right now they're working to eliminate critical bugs before releasing either.

    Also, have some appreciation for development times. They're not measured in days.

    Despite the context of game design, I think UWE could try to be a little more careful while dropping words like 'next' and 'soon'. They are bound to get misinterpreted.

    If it makes you feel better, upwards of 95% of people bought the special edition so you're in the majority anyway.. if it were a larger number of people who bought standard I might care more.

    I just hope we get a video or something next week. An announcement of the date of a future, already expected announcement/release doesn't really do it for me.

    Come on devs, it's been nearly a year you've had my money. I paid the 100% overhead for all the pre-game perks that were supposed to have come out. Now that one is, you're releasing it to everyone.

    How about some love for us hardcore vets who pre-ordered the special edition. I don't want to be forgotten.

    It's already been announced (in the Friday blog post) that the engine test is being released to everyone on April 9th, regardless of preorder edition or purchasing time.

    It is in the mailist list if you want to see it. Also it is almost month old so if you pre-ordered during that time you wont get the mail.
