Did you play NS1? If it's anything like the first one, teamwork will be the biggest requirement of a successful game.

BTW: I'm talking about at least 6v6 and up, the game wasn't really balanced for a small amount of players.

To be honest, Natural Selection wasn't very balanced when there were more than 20 players, in my opinion.
I hope such a thing will not happen.

The more players, the harder it is to keep teamwork at an acceptable levels; in pubs at least. Maybe 6v6 was slightly too small, but I don't want to see anything larger than 10v10

Yes without it you will probably loose every round. (except co mods :P)

Ps really would like possible player limits of 64.... even if its only for mods ^^

NS wasn't balanced in large servers because of how resources were distributed. Now the resources are distributed exactly the same way so this shouldn't be an issue.

I think there are still some issues with marine firepower and ability to hold ground against hit and run attacks, but the resoucres certainly help tremendously. If it was 80-20 on 32 players in 3.2, fixing resoucre model would probably make it 60-40 or so already.

That IS the biggest problem with NS1 gameplay. I.e. the aliens can do so much damage and escape to heal or the marine weapons were too nerfed to prevent the aliens from running. Imagine if a hmger could run up to a fade, dump a full magazine, and run halfway across the map (and reload) before you knew what's up. And this is how the aliens play every game...

@ the video: watch his lmg follow lerks ... haha, no way ... should have put his steamid there too :p

but even less botted players can actually kill aliens, rines aren't too weak in ns1 - escaping isnt that easy since jps are almost as fast as a blinking cele fade...

Meh, obviously I can't be 100% sure on anyone playing clean over the Internet, but I've got absolutely no reason to believe wltrs had any kind of 'illegal' mods on his NS. I'm an inactive below top tier commander myself and even I can track most of the things with pretty high accuracy. I've got no reason to believe a marine that has played on top level for years couldn't do what we see in the video.

HL doesn't but his vid-editing programs has frame blending turned on (usually it's on by default ;))
