Yeah that resnode looks really fantastic, perhaps little directional lights lining the outer side of the torus to illuminate whatever type of resnode is built on it?
Here's what I've done so far on the map I actually do hope to finish. ns_line. The concept I'm going into with this map is that it will be a very VERY linear map where aliens start at the first possible hive location at the furthest point away from the marines each game. The goal is obviously the same as in any NS map, however, aliens must quickly work together and intelligently in order to get to the second and third hives before marines get there and setup turrets and that stuff :)
I'm going to try as hard as possible to balance the map even though it will be very linearly styled, though I really do think it's possible for interesting games to occur from this concept.
Here's a few screens of the starting room for the marines which I'm no where near done with just yet. Command Station will be placed most likely near the back of that raised platform.

Conclusion from this contest: Making a prop based hallway gives you better results in a short amount of time :P
Does anyone know when and if the will add the ability for non-spotlight based light shadows. Spot lights a a bit limited for what I want them to do sometimes.
Also, I cannot wait for lightbeams and stuff to be reimplemented

Has anyone been able to get the custom colours working for lights? Mine don't seem to stick, and it's annoying to have to copy the numbers down every time I want a new light of the same type :/

And yes, that is a nice creation for only taking 20 minutes. Now I'd love to see it expanded ;)
Still learning the ropes, but I love it. It is worth the 40 bucks by far.
