I'm not to sure how the devs are handling player corpses, but assuming they don't despawn immediately... how about the aliens chomping on them to get some health back? Possibly dragging the corpses into a vent for storage?
It's a possibility, but on the other hand some less fragging related way of healing might be better. Right now it makes both gorges and DCs a lot more viable.

could be cool especialy for skulks and lerks if they could go out of a victory with full health. this feature was in alien versus predator where only brains where feeding aliens. this way every corps was only one medpak. you'r rhight, problem is that it's against teamplay through georgy healing because skulks woulden't need it so much anymore.
Well pardon my ignorance, but what role are georges going to play if any? They aren't builders, read somewhere that marines/aliens are gonna self regen health after being out of combat. Whats the point of a george?

Combat healer depends on how effective the self regen is of course. Add some more depth to the features at hand and you've got a relatively interesting lifeform at your disposal.

I like the idea of <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105395&hl=kharaa+berries" target="_blank">Kharaa Berries</a> or <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=104938&hl=heal" target="_blank">Infestation Bulbs</a> better for lifeform healing, as it would be controlled by the comm and more manipulable.

It doesn't suit that well into the NS1 kharaa hit'n'run system either. For example you can't have gorges dragging bodies while there's a fight at a PG location.

Could get plenty other uses too.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
A grappling hook tongue would be really cool. Gorges could hook up a body and start devouring it, perhaps for bonus evolution points or other bonuses.

True.
But if only gorges could heal from corpses?
