    Welcome back. The snonos have become fat and lazy. They will be easy pickings for your arctic tracking skills.

    Wow I was surprised to find so many people playing NS online still as it is, made me glad I dropped by and played some. =D

    I pretty much quit after being mistakenly banned from yoclan. Someone using the same fakename I used back then had stirred up trouble on their forum or something... I was burned out on NS anyway, so I never challenged the ban.

    I logged in now to see what the community is up to these days. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    The lack of updates, new game releases etc.

    Its natural, really. Few games retain such a large playerbase. CS and Battlefield2 are the exceptions, not the rule.

    I was never active on the forums, but I've been playing since the beginning of NS. I got side-tracked by other games like AA and DoD. NS is unique though so I think once all the hype about NS2 reaches its peak people will come back to NS just to refresh themselves with the game. Until then, I'll keep playing on one of the few populated classic servers that isn't located in China...

    I still check back here quite a bit, just to see how NS2 is coming. But I left the game due to a declining, increasingly immature player base, and the rampant dominance of combat mode; a mode tailored to the 'elite', with a complete lack of teamwork or strategy.

    I'm sure I'll play NS2 when/if it is ever released. We'll all just have to wait and see, won't we?

    Now how is combat mode tailored to the elite? It's the exact opposite.

    I left right after the second-last season of CAL and went to Dystopia with urinal. Stayed there for almost 2 years, ran the league, was a dev, then we released v1 and half of the dev team left for Real Life, and I followed suit pretty much. I have never gamed as often or as hard as when I was in CAL-NS though, and I do miss it, but playing in pubs just irritates me and makes me want to smash stuff, so I'm staying away except for LAN games. I don't game all that much for the time being, and what I do play is mostly RPGs (not MMOs) like NWN2 and Mass Effect and light games like Rockband.

    I'll be coming back in full force for NS2 though. If Flay holds out on us for another year, I'll have the brand new gaming rig I've been planning. By then, USB3 will be out, DDR3 will have prices like DDR2 does now, quad cores will be under $150 and NVidia will be in the 5 digit nomenclature. $2k will get me a far better PC a year down the road than it will now, so I'm holding off.

    I used to play ns back in '03 to '06 but ever since I had to redownload everything after uninstalling steam, ns gave me a "wrong version number (0 should be 30)" error with a sprite and never bothered to fix it/couldn't/playing other mods
    I'll be getting a new computer soon and getting back in the game.. bring on ns2 btw

    <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> Just been in the nether-realm configuring NS-3 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lerk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::lerk::" border="0" alt="lerk.gif" />

    And it's kind of dissapointing to return to the present day, only to discover that it's THE SAME PEOPLE RINE-*happy panda*, and the same *happy panda* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pudgy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::gorge::" border="0" alt="pudgy.gif" /> spamming MC inside the hive peripharals!
    Natural Selection in definition is about adapting to (or manipulating) your surroundings!
    And what is this 'REAL LIFE' or whatever that people said they've been getting into? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fade.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::fade::" border="0" alt="fade.gif" />
    Where do you get it?
    How much does it cost?

    Eh. I'm in college, have a job, and am engaged. So, pretty much, life has caught up. I have an assignment in my Audio class to make a video, and I thought I'd do it on NS. So I've been looking at all the old trailers and videos and even listening to the music... and I think I'm going to go home and play for a bit. See you guys around.

    I hardly have any time for any game let alone my old favorite NS anymore. But I try to check in on the community from time to time. I'll be damn sure to make some time for NS2 when it comes out though haha.

    Err ahh, WoW? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

    Loved the game, but eventually when your friends stop playing and go to WoW, its ultimately more fun to play with your friends then the game itself.

    Still looking forward to NS2 however!

    I am just wondering how in the world you just quoted something I wrote over two years ago in two threads. Like in its entirely.

    Honestly, I am quite puzzled as how you did it. How did you do it?

    Other games like TF2, CS: Source, CoD4 etc pp got me for a long time and I got away from NS.

    Now I'm slowly getting back to it, installed all my GoldSource Games again and NS.

    Maybe I'm going to host a Server with classic only including NS 1.0 and NS 2.0 maps (Wow, I still have all NS installations and patches <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" /> )

    NS2 needs to come out soon... the phrase "NS is dying" is becoming too commonplace....

    Just a thought.
