Okay, I watched it. Looks pretty cool! It looks like another New York-esque city so far. Looks like you play an Arab, from what I can tell. For once, it seems to be a GTA game with graphics that match its generation, heh. Discuss!

    It looks really pretty. And it appears they're finally going with a real world location (New York City).

    But I'm gonna wait till I see some gameplay (or at least a list of features or something).

    I found myself wanting to run atop that cityscape collecting agility orbs. :P

    It takes place in New York, or Liberty City that looks much closer to New York. THe trailer doesn't show any gameplay at all, it's just shots of the city. Graphics look great, but that's about it. Judging by the cars/buildings/people it takes place in the modern time give or take 5 years

    Aww come on, I've heard better Russian accents from my own mouth. I'd take Walter Koenig over the chump they have doing this guy's voice any day. Oh well, maybe the game will be fun. The first 5 were (although I never played the original, so it may not have been).

    I hope they drop the San-Andreas stuff from this one. Seriously, lifting weights / eating was really lame. I loved Vice city and GTA III for their simplicity. The grapics in the trailer look sweet, the movement of the sun and the effect it has on the shadows looks A+.

    You know, you really didn't HAVE to do a lot of that. You could gain Muscle just by running around, and eating, for me at least, was really just for getting health back while on the run.

    Actually I was kind of hoping they'd expand on those elements. The only thing I didn't like about it was that if you didn't have much muscle you looked kind of weird, and if you had a lot you just looked huge and ridiculous. Hopefully they'll find a happy medium.

    It's Liberty City, again. Someone on Wikipedia says a sign in the trailer says "Welcome to Liberty City." I've been trying to look for it, but the HD video fails to load.

    Well, considering there is a sign that says "Liberteen" and the writing on the back of the boat says "Liberty City", and because Liberty City is supposed to be New York, and they showed what appears to be the Statue of Liberty, I'm inclined to say the game takes place in... Liberty City.

    You could sell specific cars at the docks once. Saint's Row had a decent system. Different chop shops accepted different cars with different modifications.

    Then again, money was easy as pie to come by in Saint's Row. That game is so fun because you can walk around in a full black suit and black shades and look like a Reservoir Dog. No black suitcases though. :\

    QFT. I've never been a fan of the gameplay of GTA, interesting, but bland. Crackdown has me hooked. When I saw Liberty City (NYC) on the trailer, I immediately thought how amazingly fun it would be to scale the buildings and jump around rooftops with my sniper rifle.

    It's Liberty City because they can't name it New York because of all the destruction you can do. If you know New York, this is an almost exact replica of it, with Coney Island and everything. The GTA1 and GTA3 Liberty City only had a slight resemblance to New York, this is practically a copy of it.

    They've gone back to Liberty City a few times, including GTA3 and GTA: SA... in GTA3 and GTA: SA it looked the same. Surely they can't completely revamp the city for no reason? Unless they're not gonna try to tie it in at all with any of the other games.

    Its not that pointless. If you've got three stars, low health, and are very far away from a safehouse or Pay-N-Spray, then crashing in to the front of a restaurant, jumping out of the car and into it, and eating to full health was a life saver.

    A pc port is highly likely. However if they continue their record its a good year or so after the console version. Hopefully it will have some sort of multi player and some changes to make it PC friendly.
