Hey, get that skin into the game and that's my knife forever!
And keep the HP one, my comp can probably run it at normal speeds if the HL engine can support it.

However, the lowpoly version is nearly finished and can be used in NS and Source port whenever it comes out. 3k too bad?

I know this may be a little off topic, but did you say Max 9? The really need to start working on service packs and not just complete new versions. They should concentrate on maximizing speed and response time.
There's quite a bit of difference between 7 and 9 in speed. Max7 could handle 500k scene quite nicely but in Max9 I get annoying slowdowns when changing views and so on. And it's not due to lack of CPU power, see sig.
