Hope it helps.
I think you could use more surveys like this to ask how the public rates features, etc.
Like "Do you think the Onos should be replaced with a new lifeform?"
#No!
#Yes!
And then a little box to describe what would replace the Onos or so.
Good luck ..
Keep the responses coming guys! Lovely!
Cookies are owning me, im using firefox

I filled it out, Firefox works fine for me
40-120 minutes is a pretty big range <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />
I like my rounds around 40 minutes
And count me in for the guerrilla campaign!
How many replies have there been so far?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

great survey, i hope i do my best to help this mod.
I say friends from ns, but they say its to fast to play it.
maybe it is...
I hope no alien class will remove <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" />
Male, Female and Other. I'm a sophisticated talking fish robot and I'm glad that someone finally thought about the inclusion of other lifeforms in surveys. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I was thinking more about our transgender friends. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Mouse: Marketing is increasingly moving away from giant print ads and centralized points (not that we have the money for that anyways) and towards word-of-mouth so this is something we must embrace!
There's no "Partner" option. I just picked the sibling one.
11. When you play a team-based multiplayer game, how much time do you generally have to play?
I wrote this in the big box near the end of the survey but I may as well repeat it here: It's not a requirement for me to be present from the start to the end of a game. Starting a game, playing for 20 mins, going and having dinner for 15 mins, then coming back to the game has great appeal to me. Huge, epic matches punctuated with moments of awesome is what I crave. The actual win or loss is not as important as the game itself.
20. Do you prefer more realistic weapons than those in NS? Ie, would you prefer recoil and lowered accuracy while running and gunning?
<a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=4608031117219205120&showtopic=99729&hl=" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....c=99729&hl=</a>
21. Do you want alternate-fire modes for the marine weapons?
This isn't a question that should really be asked. It's one that you should ask of yourself if the need arises. I don't want a secondary fire if it's just a silly aesthetic thing. However it would be cool to have an actually purposeful secondary fire.
27. Imagine you are a skulk, clinging to a ceiling in NS2. Would you want your view to be upside-down?
AvP2 had little markers on the edge of your screen that helped you orient yourself mentally to work out where the X-Y plane is. Without these markers aliens in AvP2 would be almost impossible to play. NS would need something similar.
Overall, good survey. I'd love to see the data.

I can only check one...

Well I have my own opinions of course but I already know how to make games for myself. I want to make sure that what we make is accepted by you folks as well as a bigger audience and if this is a big deal-breaker for many, I'd like to know now. I've heard a fair number of complaints about NS not having alt-fire for years now and want to know if it's worth putting them in. We'd be sure to make them good too, not just ornamental.
About the skulks view on walls, having used this feature in a source game, it made me feel sick within seconds <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
no CO in NS2.
if you allow CO,there will be not many reasons left to play NS1,it will die <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
I realise that's the direction things are heading in, but its one of those things that seems to be poorly executed quite a bit. I mean sure word of mouth is a powerful and inexpensive way to make people aware of a product, but it tends to be most effective (and more readily accepted) when its allowed to happen as opposed to when its orchestrated and forced upon people. <a href="http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/sony/all-sony-wants-for-christmas-is-a-better-marketing-company-220727.php" target="_blank">For example</a>
I guess my main concern is that you've happened across some big marketing buzzword dictionary, opened to the page on guerrilla marketing and finished reading it with stars in your eyes.
On a related topic; UWE is in the convenient position where it already has word of mouth working in its favour. Case in point: the dynamic infestation video. The response to that video was impressive; going by <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=1675520190303081216&showtopic=99034" target="_blank">this</a>, dynamic infestation (and by extension NS2 and UWE) was featured prominently all over the web. Using the response to that video as a yard stick, you now know the approximate length and breadth of the section of the gaming community accessible to you and the amount and type of information you need to release to reach it.
Regarding alternate fire modes. One thing I liked about Natural Selection when I first discovered it was the manner in which the weapons were divided up. Instead of taking the usual FPS "oh crap, we need something to put on the back of the box. I know, lets have lots of weapons!" method of devising the players' arsenal, you went for a more RTS like approach. Each weapon (particularly in the marine arsenal) brings something useful to the table that none of the other weapons do. Resulting in a very clean, almost rock-paper-scissors relationship between the various weapons and the situations they're used in. Introducing alternate fire modes (or an unnecessary amount of weapons) would only serve to needlessly complicate NS2, with little gain to show for it.
Such as #6. "Are there other members of your household that you think might be interested in NS (check all that apply)?"
All the answers point to someone no matter what, in your life would be willing to play NS. That's not necessarily true for some people. In my household, no one would play NS, it's just not a game they'd be into no matter what. Plus some people may live with others who are not into video games at all.
Other than that, nice survey. Quick, to the point, no problems to it.
i live with 10 other students.
which none seem to play online pc games.
Some questions have no answer that is applicable.

It says check all the apply. Obviously in your case (and mine) none apply, so we don't check any.
