I write up a massive list of DVDs, games and albums every year, and just let people pick from there. My birthday is like 2 weeks before christmas, so it's just one glorious month of gifts. I'll often have one big thing I want (this year was a Zen Vision:M).
Self-presents this year are prolly gonna be pure pwnage shirts or something.

If you really want something fun to play with I find <a href="http://www.firebox.com" target="_blank">Firebox</a> to be a treasure trove of gadgets and wonders that you'll want and have some entertainment use but nothing so practical that you'd ever need it :3
Anyone make a comment about "OMG THATS A GURLZ RING LOL", and I'll be stabbing them. Can't stand these huge chunky rings that people typically associate with mens rings tbh. Too chunky for my fingers anyway.

To be honest I'm kinda weird about rings personally; I don't like having things on my fingers and wrists. Can never keep gloves, rings, watches, bracelets or the like on for long before I get uncomfortable and slip them off :/

I'd like - a new alarm clock (battery powered so nothing fancy) - I'll probably ask for some aftershave - I was looking at a nice pocket watch, which is an impractical purchase since I have a nice wrist watch but I have a desire to have one. - I did really want a wii until they started selling for 2x MSRP thanks to Christmas fever. - A sony reader would be nice too bad they are so expensive (refurbished maybe from the sony store) - A webcam since I live away from my parents and I know it would be nice to be able to chat somewhat face to face. - An awesome computer would always be nice but I'll end up buying myself that sometime early 2008 (along with crysis, bioshock and all the other games I've missed)
Most of all I'll just be happy to see my family, I don't see them during the semester so it'll be 3 and a half months I've been away.

I'm the same way. With as much as people like to make a big deal about Christmas, it makes the holiday even more annoying to me. I just want to finish all my projects for my degree. I can think about Christmas and such after the 19th.
