<div class="IPBDescription">what do you want?</div>more to the point - what do <i>I</i> want?

I can't think of anything except for clothes, and they are never really that exciting.

Anyone think of something unique/useful/just plain cool?

Anyway post your wish lists so I can steal some ideas.

Hell man, what do you give the person who has everything?

I bought myself a 1-1/2" thick memory foam bedtopper for my kingsized bed for Christmas. I've slept on my girlfriend's and it is absolutley heavenly sleep.

As awesome as that sounds, (no sarcasm intended...seriously.) it's not the sortof thing I'd want to get from someone else. Though it would make a good self-present, it's just very bland to ask for.

Or maybe I'm just wrapped up in the good old days when i'd get lego sets and mechano. Oh to be 5 again.

Buy a custom made display case for it, give it the love, care, and attention that a work of art like that deserves, and pass it down my lineage....

It's a fully functional sword, made by some of the finest craftsmen of the time.

If you want me to use it, then you need to be wearing full plate armour...

yea - I think that should be an unofficial rule of the thread. Must have functionality beyond prettiness. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

My fathered wished for a sword from champe elysee, probably getting it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I want cool schwag for my room, also known as a <a href="http://www.electricstuff.co.uk/nixiegallery.html" target="_blank">Nixie clock</a>. Heck, I'll take anything retro-ishly cool. Especially steampunk stuff. Just adore them.

I prefer to not ask anyone for anything, and wait for suprises. It's especially fun if what people get you makes no sense at all. Like when someone just picks something out of a dollar bargain bin and wraps it in newspaper. That's how I usually give gifts, just head to the local thrift store and pick up whatever jumps out at me and yells "I'm a gift. Give me!"

I'll take a 25x7x3" side to side hybrid tube/plate/fin FMIC with short route blowthrough piping and an HKS CBV flange. Not quite as exciting as most of the gifts here (both the time fountain and the nixie clocks are awesome) but a practical need at this point. :b

I need a big solid-state switch for my induction ring launcher. So I guess I want some kind of huge puck-scr off of ebay. Besides that I can't think of anything I really want...

Ohhh the Nixie clock reminded me of this: <a href="http://www.nandahome.com/" target="_blank">CLOCKY</a>

No fun without movies eh? <a href="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2268907227967671510&q=clocky" target="_blank">CLICKY</a>

I'd get one but it would just either run straight on my head or down the stairs.

I gave that to my brother last year. He loved it, but I don't think I'll dish out such an expensive gift for him this year ;p

What I want? I truly don't care. As corny as this sounds, I rather like surprises and I have never requested gifts. As long as it's not something I hate, I'm happy. (Among bad surprises: A country music CD, a rather cheap fountain pen, countless books, and a DVD drive knowing I had a DVD burner)

But in all honesty, what I would love to have is:
    -a GOOD fountain pen (I like writing nicely <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" /> )
-Any amount of plushes (mostly from my girlfriend heh, but I already know I get these)
-Anything good for my PC. (which means pretty much anything other than a keyboard/mouse)
    -Vacation to the Alps.
-A classy watch. (Something I can covet as a future family-heirloom or something)
-A stylish coat. (As in, not a raincoat)

    etc. etc.
