Continuum Fingerboard

So amazing...
This is quite possibly the coolest musical instrument ever. The only thing that compares to it is Emmet Chapman's Stick. Anywho, this is basically a keyboard without any breaks or sharps/flats in between. Oh yeah, and it sounds nothing like a paino or keyboard, it sounds more like a guitar than anything. Go on over to http://www.hakenaudio.com/Continuum/ , go to Examples and click on ContinuumDemo HiRez or LoRez.

the fingerboard looks pretty sweet to me - though judging by the lack of rock type songs in the demos, it doesn't do that genre well...

If i'm not mistaken, one of the people in Liquid Tension Experiment uses the chapman's stick. And it sounds pretty good

[EDIT:] It seems another member of their band uses the Continuum fingerboard aswell.

While we're on this topic, I discovered Beaterator on Rockstar's website. It's a niftly little program that lets you create your own stuff and then save it to your computer in an MP3 format.

    http://beaterator.rockstargames.com/beaterator.html

It says that you should use IE because it *may* be unstable in Firefox, but I didn't have any problems.

Wow that was cool. I guess it's good for trance / techno and other digital music - but not as well suited for rock and such

If you had one of each in a band...zomg. Those guys make it look so easy though. I'm not sure how much one of those Fingerboards is, but I know the stick is $2,000.

    Wow, it's cheap too.

Only $350 for the full-sized one!
about $240 for the half=size one.
