Ill make this short and sweet

Basically, you know when you launch say, 5 small programs all at the same time theres sometimes a breif second where your computers response freezes then all the apps are open? Well that dosen't bug me, what bothers me is when my computer does that it suddenly reboots and is unable to locate my hard-drive. Heres where it gets even weirder, If I unplug my computer, and toggle the physical power supply switch off then on it is able to find it again. I was thinking my PSU is going bad, but Im not sure

It could be many things. Your hard disk could be going bad or your psu could be going bad. I have had both go bad on me. If its either of those hope for the psu and start making backups.

    Post some system specs ?
BTW: On friday morning a friend and I were walking to town and I saw a car reg plate with "CWG" at the end and muttered to myself "Wow, that almost says CWAG." my confused friend asked me what I was talking about but I couldn't bring myself to say anything about it. So I promptly changed the subject. If I see it again i'll take a photo with my crappy phone.

    Back on-topic..... RAM ?

Cwag this has happened, it was the hard drive.. it is a pretty good sign the HDD needs to be replaced. If it was the PSU I'm sure it would not want to turn on much.

Strangely enough a format fixed the problem. Seem it wasn't hardware as whenever I tried to use IE or Firefox for long the windows shell mysteriously crashed, I blamed it on a virus and now its fine, lock the topic please, and thanks to all who posted.

Further proof that format C: is the universal answer to all computer problems.

Destroying the universe would solve a lot of problems too, leaving you with a single problem: the universe has been destroyed.
