Hmm, a simple edit to gfx\shell\kb_act.lst would correct this.

I liked pheromones only for the colors. Though after that it was more a handicap than a help.

I liked it because it was fun to stalk my prey from the trail that he left... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

the GUI binds always have some remnants from the past, I remember in 1.2 they still had the bind for "research nuke", which I bound to a key and was thoroughly unimpressed when it did absolutely nothing.

For efficiency I'd say it was more fun to stalk him from a vision of his precise location that you could observe from through walls. You have to remember, the marine would have to have been hurt for scent of fear to show him, pheramones showed him regardless of his health status.

Actually, scent of fear was changed at the same time pheromones was added, I believe, so pheromones didn't give any advantage over scent of fear.

  • Cereal_KillRCereal_KillR Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1837Members
    It was a nuclear weapon.

Didn't even see the day in 1.00 due to its uberpowerness and encouraging marine turtling.

If someone wants to do me a favour and post a bug report with the areas of that, that are no longer correct, I'd like to get that fixed...
