well, I've come back and my original download is at 22.2 k/s and 1.5 hours left. So I went through the thread and chose a different site and now I'm downloading at 326k/s with < 13 min remaining.

Been playing for the past hour or more. It's a blast! Typically the server had one guy sitting in a corner TK'ing spawning teammates. But, this IS Battlefield, so....

I would have had it sooner, but Alterac Valley beckoned. 1700 damage non-crit pyroblast ftw.

there is a hole heaping list of unsupported gfx cards.

basically if its 2 years old you are SOL

it runs fine except for shadows, they are screwed up and can cover large portions of the map with flat edges.

I'm just trying to work out the systems at this point, so far it's been pretty fun.

I wonder why the accelerate and decelerate does not work on helicopters... perhaps I have that wrong...

This game rocks.

This is sweet justification of my preordering it a couple weeks ago.

I can run this thing maxed out at 1600x1200, and it still doesn't look that good. I guess Far Cry was kind of burned into my mind, eh?

Anyways, gameplay doesn't seem much different from the first game, just on a smaller scale.

I'll stick with Joint Ops, thanks.

I'm barely under the sys requirements and it runs perfectly fine, it doesn't look incredible but it plays well. Damn this is fun, It's not as fun as Desert Combat but then again it's only the demo and it's also a First Party game. This is definitely going on my buy list.

This game totally rocks . . . but I can't figure out how I'm supposed to do anything as the comm. I know how to apply and accept and all that, I just can't <i>do</i> anything. It's rather frustrating when you're being swarmed my minipeople and you want to blow them up with artillery. I did have the US fire arty on me as the middle-east guys, and it was <i>scary</i>. I want to return the favor.

Hey, I hated the Battlefield series too. Only reason I'm downloading this is because I'm hoping it will have improvements to "Paintball Online: With Tanks 1942". Thats what the gun combat felt like at least.. and I'm born to be a footsoldier, so game was killed for me. I'd ask the same question <b>Legionnaired</b> did.

I mean, I can understand not supporting a GF4, But a last generation card with 256mb of VRAM? WTH?!

I'm on a 5600XT.

I get the black screen with resolution change, then bam- its gone.
