Yeah i noticed this today as well, Im quite outraged as I frequently airsoft.

There are other ways to get rid of violent crime in britain rather than banning replica weapons

I've got my first replica gun introduction and training next month, what a bummer if this passes <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm not especially bothered about replicas in the UK...its not like we have much gun crime anyway. I've never done airsoft tho, looks cool.

    If the UK is
    Actually "fiercely opposed"
    The bill will not pass

    Because nobody
Votes on something that will cause
    Them to lose a vote

Because the only thing that got Blair a third term was the promise that he would never ban Airsoft. OBVIOUSLY.

Ok thanks for the quick replies/spam guys.

    Another reason I love these forums, they're fast....if though sometimes pointless <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Please don't dismiss this petition, as it is still another statistic that we can use and the larger the statistic the more probable it is that we'll be better seen,as more signatures =
    more people for our cause.

So thanks to all those who signed it!

    What is licensing?

Licensing - A way of giving the government the ability to ration your liberty at its discretion.

Sometimes you have to assume certain 'risks' in order to live in a free society. And a free society doesn't mean the ability to say F**k the government when all your other liberties have been taken away.

    Licencing I could agree with.

Understandably there must be something to stop the 'Chav nation' trying brute force things. I mean, just the other day a Chav came up to me and said, "Can I have your wallet" the only honest reply I could think of was punching him in the face!

I have been held up with a 'springer' BB gun in the past, I also didn't take this serriously and proceeded to attack my harrasser because I was entitled to by law. The situation might go badly if there was a group of chavs though...I see how it is dangerous

Why do the signatures of millions of people on the internet that arent all possibly (if even 50%) located in the Uk... matter to the UK?

I don't know of a single petition online thread that did any good. Then again I've never looked. The way I see it people look at that and say, "Oh well that's nice. Let's get back to what we were doing."

Petitions let the lazy people who won't write to their MP's feel like they've done something....like me
  • AlienCowAlienCow Join Date: 2003-09-20 Member: 21040Members
I've written to my MP but he sucks. I don't like politicians. I don't like politics. I know what I want, and what I want is getting what I want whilst avoiding the current means of getting what I want.

I doubt this petition will make a difference, but it only takes a few seconds so if you can spare those seconds you may as well sign it...

Cos lots of people voted for him that's why........

I'm not sure this is refering to Airsoft in general but more to actual replica guns that people collect, the ones that have had certain parts removed so they cannot be fired.

Wayne the chav then takes said repica gun to gangster dave who knows steve the machinist who makes the missing parts so this gun enabling it to fire bullets.

This is what's starting happen more frequently.

Is it just me or are the stretches people make who are in favor of these guidelines getting crazier and crazier?

What next, "Bob the iron worker takes iron ore to Bill the smelter who makes billots and gives them to Jim the injection molder who calls John the chemist who gets salt peter from Mickey and, simple as that, a muzzleloader is made. We can't let this happen."
