I'm connected too now after having been unable to for 3 days. But it doesn't join any of the channels in my favourites (I'm using mIRC) and when I try to join them manually by using the favourite dropdown menu it just disconnects me. /j works though.
Welp, I succeeded in IRCing today for a few hours, and as soon as I responded to a pm, I was disconnected. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

IRC is good Because of lots of channels Don't restrict to one.

QuakeNet only likes Europeans. One time I used it and half the bloody servers just kicked me off for not being in Europe. Considering how many asia-pacific types there are in the community, going to quakenet would be a stupid idea.
Not saying I like Gamesurge either, I'd be quite happy to move to another network - as long as it's not Quakenet.

So, ima outside looking in ... again.
Silly hoomies.
There are other networks besides QuakeNet, you must think outside the dragons egg Haha!
*flaps off*
May it stay alive for once.
I need to idle!
