I'm connected too now after having been unable to for 3 days. But it doesn't join any of the channels in my favourites (I'm using mIRC) and when I try to join them manually by using the favourite dropdown menu it just disconnects me. /j works though.

Quakenet may be more stable, but Gamesurge is so much better in every single other way, plus splitting up the community for no good reason is bad.

Welp, I succeeded in IRCing today for a few hours, and as soon as I responded to a pm, I was disconnected. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Gamesurge lives again.
May it stay alive for once.
    I need to idle!

This is unclear, especially to a n00b. Currently a user cannot use Quakenet to connect to a channel that's on a GameSurge server.

    If your statement was a recommendation instead, point taken. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Ok. I advise you to move your channels to quakenet since it's a much better and (most of the time) more reliable IRC-Net than Gamesurge. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hes right you know. Quakenet is the way forward, I think the NS channel should be based there.

It sounds like UWE needs it's own IRC server.

    That's a bad idea
    How many people would join
    Only our channel?

    IRC is good
    Because of lots of channels
    Don't restrict to one.

are you stupid? in how many ways is gamesurge better? plus, isnt the community already splitted between quakenet and gamesurge? with your logic, bringing everyone to the same network is a good thing.

QuakeNet only likes Europeans. One time I used it and half the bloody servers just kicked me off for not being in Europe. Considering how many asia-pacific types there are in the community, going to quakenet would be a stupid idea.

Not saying I like Gamesurge either, I'd be quite happy to move to another network - as long as it's not Quakenet.

So no Quakenet and no Gamesurge ... what other options do we have?
