Something here reeks of fanboy.
Show me the proof first.
No benchmarks couldn't find any. But this source says Crossfire wins in 3dmark05.

Microstar International Sued for Mainboard Flaws
Service Company Accuses MSI in Malevolent Quality Reduction
A hardware and software service company from Vermont filed a legal class-action suit against Microstar International accusing one of the leading mainboard makers in the world of intentionally using low-quality components on its mainboards.
A report from Reuters claims that the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last Thursday by Electronic Connection Services Corporation claims that MSI has knowingly used capacitors, devices used to regulate the power supply to microchips, that can leak or even explode and cause mainboards to short-circuit. The suit, which seeks to cover any person or company in the United States who has made a wholesale or retail purchase of an MSI mainboard since 1999, seeks unspecified damages and restitution and other relief.
Leaking, exploding and deforming capacitors on conventional mainboards is an issue that has been around for years. However, in the last 12 to 36 months the problem has become pretty big as modern chips consume a lot of energy and the risk of capacitors’ failure became extremely serious.

Compared with two 6800 Ultra in SLI, ATI's Crossfire should end up about 10 per cent faster in 3Dmark05 benchmark, about 30 percent in Splinter cell C.T game and more than 60 percent in Need For Speed Underground 2 game. ATI is talking about results gathered from testing SLI and Crossfire platforms on 1600x1200 resolution, with 4X FSAA and 8X aniso, Athlon 64, 1GB DDR 400 memory, RD480 motherboard with 8.151 driver. ATI used two X850 XT Crossfire cards versus Asus SLI Deluxe board, 71.89 drivers, and two 6800 Ultra cards in SLI.
Compared with single X850 XT PE card, Crossfire cards performs 10 percent faster in 3Dmark03, more than 60 percent faster in old Return to Castle Wolfenstein and almost 100 percent faster in Splinter cell game. Interesting choice of games, I wonder are those the games that show the biggest difference. We don’t even doubt that.
Same document implies that Nvidia SLI won't show any performance increase in versus single 6800 Ultra card in The chronicles of Riddick, UT 2004 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 games.

Assumptions, not facts which then transforms to the fact that Crossfire won't ship till LATE June

We should see some tests from Computex while officially ATI will send out Crossfire test systems by the end of June. We are more the sort of see it to believe it kind of person so you should take all this with a grain of salt as it comes from ATI.

Kinda hard to estimate performance when the TEST systems aren't even out yet.
next time i should bold the link...
i dont understand a wrd..but there are the benchmark diagrams
We need full benchmarks covering more games, comparing quality settings (hold on, Talesin is coming...) and, my most important criteria, the combination of different cards.
And a language that I can understand because my Danish isn't fluent

We got an exclusive chance to test Crossfire. Blah blah test system [edit:] not in our office blah blah. Now here's some pretty pictures for no particular reason.
[Insert pretty pictures]
Oh yeah, and here's the stuff we used:
[Insert hardware specs]
The catalyst drivers are an unofficial, unknown version with Crossfire support.
[Insert diagrams]
So what couldn't happen happened! nVidia's base are belong to Crossfire. Crossfire gave 75-90% higher performance in Doom 3. Oh, and we got 3D Mark 2005 benchmarks as well, but were too lazy to test it with SLI so you'll just get the Crossfire results even though they are pointless on their own.
The results are interesting because ATI is now first and could do even better with optimization. All this in Doom 3 where nVidia is supposed to be better.
We'll test it more when there's a retail version.
Well, first prototypes are always like this, but I thought that Crossfire was supposed to be available right about now? I can't understand Danish so how was I supposed to know I'm just looking at charts
By a few frames per second
Very small difference
If you want to pay
500 bucks for a card
I think they're both good.

or the one that's cheap?
