<div class="IPBDescription">in a word</div> I was playing some WoW and somehow or another some of us (random players) got talking about NS. After impressing them with incredibly low member #, I thought it might be appropriate to at least drop by and say hello. I don't every see many/any of yall anymore but for those whom I knew, thanks for the memories.
And major props to the NS team. I don't care how slow some of yall think they are in getting releases out (everybody is impatient for the newest version of their favorite thing), what they've done is incredible and they have all my respect. Cya all around, adios amigos!

the first game i played was on tanith.. and the only part i saw was marine start...
i dont know when the first version of tanith came out though..
didnt come to the forums until much later though

Ahh, yea, the good old days. Reading Flayra's incredible ideas on the old site, inventing neat things to do in a map with the welder tool, and sitting idle in #naturalselection (when having more than 5 people at once was a big thing). And seeing the concept art for a marine/alien and saying "Wow, that would be cool if it could actually look like that!" and then when the model was skinned, it DID look like that .
Oh, and who can forget, right before I left for college, the NS Technology Releases. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Oh the love we mappers had for Flayra, heck, even people who had no intention of mapping were getting it. Which inevitably led to the formation of the NS footrace fad and other stuff like that.
Anyway, some of you might recognize me because up until a month or two ago (I forget exactly) I was in #naturalselection often/occasionally. Once I started playing WoW though, I kinda dropped off a bit. I'll be sure to stop in more often though. Anyway, I'll talk to ya'll later, I've gotta get to bed so I can get up in time to be at work. ps. I have been dating my g/f for 7 months and 1 day (started on Holloween last year). We've discussed marriage and everything (and I'm preparing -- save, save, save <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) but as we've planned it that's not going to happen until next spring. So I've got just under a year, and about a 3-4 month [official] engagement period directly before that. So, in answer to the question, she is awesome. I'll post a pic sometime, so everyone here can know that, yes, there *is* hope for us geeks <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
