Aspell is a spell checker. For EVERYTHING. I know that you can right click on things and have it spell check in Opera, I'm not sure about other browsers. It also points out misspelled words in chat programs (at least GAIM, maybe others too).

Its good. Very, very good.

    Did you download a dictionary too? Because otherwise it won't do anything.

    What a coincidence, I spent a few hours trying to get Aspell and its Perl module for a project at work. It is indeed very nifty, though for some reason its counting all numbers as misspelled words... :/

    That is because doomey you must spell out a number if it is shorter then two words.

    Example, one hundred, grammatically correct.

    1,578 grammatically correct.

    I don't misspell that often but when I'm not sure I use the Dictionary Search Firefox extension. Also doubles as wikipedia search, IMDB search and go to for text links.
