Which one of these behemoths would win in a fair fight. This means no Fantastic four crap ganging up on Hulky...

You set the scene, location and time perhaps ^_^ . Now let the combat commence and let's see who would win...

    Thing has personality.

    Owned.

The Hulk's physical prowess scales linearly with this emotional stress.

The Thing retains his intelligence, but his supernatural abilities are constant in power.

The only way that The Thing could win would be to find a way to keep The Hulk pacified. Otherwise, he's screwed.

Put Donkey Kong and Juggernaut into the mix.

I think the Hulk would win, sadly. It's like a jock beating a nerd who works out quite a bit. Hahahaha.

As long as you do not call your balls "The Fantastic Four" there is really no need to visit a doctor...

Hulk has beaten Thing every time, AFAIK. The whole of the FF has a hard time keeping the Jolly Green Giant at bay.

IIRC, Hulk can benchpress 100+ tons. Thing can benchpress 75+ tons. Hulk has a super-dooper healing factor; Thing doesn't.

Hulk can smash, what can thing do?
  • OmegamanOmegaman Join Date: 2004-01-11 Member: 25239Members
I stay by my answer. Hulk is the essence of anger, and not much else. The Thing has personality. I don't see it as a battle, but more of a question as to which one is better.

    Thus, the Thing.

Pff I don't accept that Thing as THE Thing. The only real Thing is this one

    clobberring.

But Hulk wins. He's just way too damn strong for the thing.

Neither of them would win,cos some bad comic-book baddie would jump at the chance to destroy both of them with a huge huge rock or something. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

In a straight fight to the death, The Hulk would easily win, no doubt at all. If The Thing was able to use his brain a bit more and run away till The Hulk is in his 'Bruce Banner lying comatose by the side of the road in ripped purple shorts' stage then The Thing would win.

Anyhow has The Thing ever been damaged? I mean he got that shell something protecting him. They'll prolly battle til the end of the world, or until hulk becomes human again.

The hulk would own the thing on every level, since he is pretty much indestrucible.

Which is hawt, but he is green, and that isn't my favorite colour. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Juggernaut vs Thing then?

    Hmm...
  • CMEastCMEast Join Date: 2002-05-19 Member: 632Members
Isn't juggernaut supposed to be invulnerable?

To be honest the thing is a bit rubbish, wouldn't mind seeing some resources that says otherwise but afaik he's just some guy made of rock... not the best of super hero designs. More made for comic relief in the fantastic 4 than anything else.

Juggers likes to say that nothing can stop him, but nine times out of ten, someone shuts him down. And he didn't do too well against Onslaught...

What I like about Thing is that he was the only one of the four who became a complete freak - all the rest could pass as human, if they wanted to. For Thing, there's no going back. He's a bit of a tragic case, especially when compared to Torch, who became a celebrity.
